Quantum eMotion Corp. (QNC), a quantum technology company, reported a net loss and comprehensive loss of $8.32 million for the six months ended June 30, 2026. This represents an increase from the $4.87 million net loss recorded during the same period in 2025.
Operating expenses rose significantly over the first half of the year. General and administrative expenses reached $2.78 million, compared to $1.04 million in the prior-year period. Research and development costs also increased to $931,482 from $518,502. Share-based payments contributed $3.99 million to the six-month expenses, up from $3.13 million in 2025.
For the three months ended June 30, 2026, the company recorded revenues of $1.48 million, whereas it reported no revenue for the corresponding quarter in 2025. Despite the revenue growth, the quarterly net loss widened to $4.74 million from $1.52 million a year earlier. Basic and diluted loss per share for the quarter was $0.022, compared to $0.008 in the prior year.
The company's balance sheet showed a shift in liability structure. Total liabilities rose to $10.16 million as of June 30, 2026, from $647,856 at the end of 2025. This increase was driven largely by a new contingent liability of $9.01 million. Total assets stood at $48.31 million, with investments totaling $33.69 million.
