GE HealthCare Technologies (GEHC) reported third-quarter revenue of $5.5 billion, up 7.2%, with organic growth of 6.2%, and raised full-year 2026 guidance after a quarter of margin expansion and a turnaround in Patient Care Solutions.

The medical-technology company had reaffirmed its 2026 outlook after the second quarter. It now expects organic revenue growth of about 4.0%, adjusted EBIT margin of 15.5%–15.7%, adjusted EPS of $4.95–$5.05, and free cash flow of $1.6 billion or more.

Revenue growth accelerated from 5.7% (organic 3.5%) in the second quarter. Diluted EPS was $1.36, up 39.1%; adjusted EPS was $1.34, up 25.1%. Net income attributable to GE HealthCare was $615 million. Adjusted EBIT was $913 million.

Net income margin was 11.1%, up 250 basis points from a year earlier. Adjusted EBIT margin was 16.6%, up 180 basis points. The company said both measures were driven by volume, price and cost productivity, and a favorable year-over-year net tariff impact, partially offset by inflation.

Patient Care Solutions reversed a second-quarter decline. Segment revenue was $793 million, up 8.5% (organic 8.8%), after falling 13.3% in the prior quarter. Segment EBIT was a $68 million profit, an 8.6% margin, versus a $26 million loss.

Advanced Imaging Solutions, the largest reportable unit, posted revenue of $3.87 billion, up 6.1% (organic 4.5%), and EBIT of $593 million, a 15.3% margin. Pharmaceutical Diagnostics revenue was $846 million, up 13.0% (organic 13.8%), with EBIT of $253 million and a 29.9% margin.

Organic orders growth slowed to 4.0% from a record 11.1% in the second quarter. Book-to-bill was 1.03 times and backlog was $23.7 billion. The company said orders were driven by healthy demand.

Cash flow from operating activities was $907 million and free cash flow was $793 million, both including a $55 million tariff refund. Cash and cash equivalents were $2.9 billion. Total debt outstanding was $10.0 billion. The company declared a quarterly dividend of $0.04 a share, a 14% increase from the prior quarter.

In October, GE HealthCare announced plans to acquire SOFIE Biosciences from Trilantic North America for $945 million in cash, expected to close in the first half of 2027 subject to customary conditions, including regulatory approvals. The company said the deal would establish a “final mile” footprint for PET radiopharmaceutical supply in the U.S.

Jeannette Bankes, president and CEO of Patient Care Solutions, will leave for a CEO role at a publicly traded company. Neal Sandy, currently head of PCS Product Strategy and Management, will assume the PCS CEO role on November 16, 2026.

President and CEO Peter Arduini said the company delivered strong top-line growth and margin expansion across all segments and raised guidance with improved year-to-date performance and momentum in the business.
