Mirae Asset Securities, a global investment specialist, reported a consolidated operating profit of 3.86 trillion won for the first half of 2026. This follows an operating profit of 846.6 billion won during the same period in the previous year.
Financial performance indicators showed significant growth in profitability. The company reported a return on equity of 39.46% for the first half of 2026, compared to 12.36% in 2025 and 7.94% in 2024. The return on total assets for the same period was 3.34%, up from 1.09% in 2025 and 0.69% in 2024.
Consolidated financial totals as of June 2026 included total assets of 195.6 trillion won and equity of 16.2 trillion won, including non-controlling interests. The company recorded a cumulative net profit of 2.91 trillion won on a consolidated basis. On a standalone basis, total assets were 144.2 trillion won, equity was 10.6 trillion won, and cumulative net profit was 854.3 billion won.
Revenue streams for the first half of 2026 included 659.3 billion won in net commission income and 350.4 billion won in net interest income. Gains from financial instruments reached 4.73 trillion won, while dividend income totaled 232.7 billion won. Other gains and losses were recorded at negative 2.11 trillion won.
In the equity securities brokerage commission market, the company held a 10.00% share for the period between January 1 and March 31, 2026, with 325.3 billion won in commissions. This follows a 10.33% share in 2025 and a 10.23% share in 2024.
Global expansion continues through a network of 11 regions, including 19 active operating subsidiaries. In India, the company operates approximately 120 branches and a network of over 4,500 business partners. Mirae Asset Digital (India) Private Limited became a 100% consolidated subsidiary in November 2024. The company plans to diversify its Indian operations by strengthening mutual fund sales and introducing new products such as ETFs and insurance.
Other strategic initiatives include the use of AI-based services on the M.stock mobile platform to support investment decisions,. The company also intends to diversify its investment targets through carbon emission rights management, Pre-IPO investments in new growth sectors, and block deals to secure stable returns.
