Doosan expands wind power and Middle East energy projects
The company secured 1,203MW of wind turbine supply for various projects.
The industrial conglomerate Doosan is diversifying its energy portfolio through new contracts in the wind power sector. The company confirmed the supply of 8/10MW wind turbine models for projects including Yeosu Geumodo and Incheon Gulupdo. This follows previous wins at sites such as Yawol and Jeonbuk Southwest.
Doosan is also scaling its presence in the Middle East. The company won a contract for a combined cycle power plant in Oman during the first half of 2026. It is now using pre-reservation contracts for steam turbines and generators to strengthen its position in that region.
Strategic partnerships are supporting the company's growth in offshore wind. Doosan plans to participate in the production of wind turbines for the Shinan Haesong and Ulsan Haeul projects through a collaboration with Siemens Energy.
Operational shifts are visible across its subsidiaries. The company established new entities in India and Thailand. At the same time, it liquidated units in Russia and through a merger in France.
Revenue distribution across the group remains concentrated in heavy machinery and energy. Doosan Bobcat accounted for 44.20% of consolidated net sales in the second quarter of 2026. Doosan Enerbility followed with 38.50% of the total. The electronics business unit contributed 12.20%.
