Samsung Electro-Mechanics raises product prices

The electronic components maker saw average selling prices for semiconductor package substrates rise 18.7% year-on-year.

The electronic components maker Samsung Electro-Mechanics reported a rise in average selling prices across its primary product lines. Semiconductor package substrates saw the highest increase at 18.7% year-on-year, while multilayer ceramic capacitors rose 13.9% and camera modules increased 2.4%.

Consolidated revenue for the first half of 2026 reached 6.67 trillion won. The component division led the business with 3.06 trillion won in revenue, accounting for 45.87% of the total. The optical solutions division followed with 2.11 trillion won, representing 31.68% of revenue, and the package solutions division contributed 1.50 trillion won, or 22.45%.

Samsung Electronics and its subsidiaries remain the primary customer for the company. Revenue from this client reached 1.71 trillion won during the first half of 2026, an increase from the 1.64 trillion won recorded in the same period of the previous year.

Cash flow from operating activities showed a significant upward trajectory. Consolidated net cash flow from operations rose to 1.06 trillion won in the first half of 2026, compared to 674 billion won during the first half of 2025. This growth occurred alongside a substantial increase in investment spending, as the company spent 843 billion won on the acquisition of tangible assets.

Financial liabilities also shifted as the company increased its short-term borrowing. Consolidated short-term borrowings reached 2.79 trillion won, while the company repaid 2.11 trillion won in short-term debt during the period. The company paid 179 billion won in dividends.

Cash and cash equivalents at the end of the first half of 2026 stood at 3.31 trillion won. This represents an increase from the 2.54 trillion won held at the end of the first half of 2025.
