Hanwha Ocean reports 1.18 trillion won operating profit

The shipbuilder recorded consolidated revenue of 8.65 trillion won for the first half of 2026.

The shipbuilder Hanwha Ocean reported a consolidated operating profit of 1.18 trillion won for the first half of 2026. Consolidated revenue for the same period reached 8.65 trillion won.

Commercial ships served as the primary driver of financial performance. This segment generated 6.03 trillion won in revenue and 1.18 trillion won in operating profit. The company noted that its commercial ship revenue was composed of 6.01 trillion won from exports and 24.72 billion won from domestic sales.

The energy plant and special ship segment recorded revenue of 2.92 trillion won. This business unit's revenue included 1.84 trillion won from exports of submarines and offshore structures, while domestic sales totaled 1.08 trillion won.

Capital expenditure is focused on expanding production capacity. The company plans to invest 689.6 billion won in production facilities for Hanwha Ocean, 59.29 billion won for Hanwha Ocean Offshore Holdings, and 37.04 billion won for Hanwha Ocean Ecotech between July and December 2026.

Cash flow from operating activities for the first half of 2026 was 902.23 billion won. The company ended the period with 1.23 trillion won in cash and cash equivalents.

Strategic expansion continues through new corporate entities. The company established Hanwha Ocean Offshore Holdings Pte. Ltd., Ocean Wind Power 1 Ltd., Hanwha Ocean Global Project Execution Center Pte. Ltd., and Ocean Wind Power Holdings Pte. Ltd..
