Brookfield and CPP Investments completed the LXP acquisition at a valuation of about $5.2 billion including net debt and preferred equity; DTE agreed to sell DTE Vantage for approximately $3 billion; and Five9 signed an agreement to acquire Level AI.

Completed cash acquisitions led the week’s selected transactions. Separately, Grant Thornton Advisors completed its all-cash acquisition of CBIZ at an enterprise value of $5 billion.

LXP’s shareholders are to receive $61.20 per share in cash under the agreement. Following completion, LXP became privately held and its shares stopped trading on the New York Stock Exchange. The acquired portfolio comprises 107 industrial properties spanning approximately 52 million square feet in the Sunbelt and Midwest, with long-duration leases.

Advisory acquisitions reach completion

Grant Thornton Advisors, New Mountain Capital and CBIZ announced completion on November 2. The combined CBIZ and Grant Thornton Advisors organization has more than $5 billion in annual domestic revenue. Including CBIZ, Grant Thornton Advisors’ multinational platform generates more than $7 billion in annual revenue and includes more than 34,500 professionals across more than 25 countries and territories.

Lazard also completed its acquisition of Campbell Lutyens on November 2, following the agreement announced April 30. The closing brought together Campbell Lutyens and Lazard’s private capital advisory operations under Lazard CL. The business has more than 300 advisory professionals and 19 offices worldwide, with activities spanning primary fundraising, secondary advisory and GP capital advisory. Lazard said the businesses collectively represent advisory work on more than $1 trillion of primary capital raised and secondary transaction volume across approximately 1,300 mandates over four decades.

Energy agreements and an earlier closing

DTE Energy entered into an agreement to sell its non-utility DTE Vantage business for approximately $3 billion to institutional investors advised by the Global Infrastructure group at J.P. Morgan Asset Management. DTE said it expects the sale to close in the first half of 2027. The agreement covers DTE Vantage, which has been part of DTE for more than 30 years.

CVR Energy announced a definitive agreement to acquire Marathon Petroleum’s St. Paul Park and Mandan refineries and related marketing business. CVR also identified associated logistics assets as part of the acquisition. The November 3 transaction announcement established an agreed acquisition involving two named refineries and their accompanying businesses.

Sunoco’s update concerned a completed purchase: it acquired Offen Petroleum on October 27 and reported the closing in its November 3 quarterly update. That places the acquisition’s completion before the November 2–6 reporting week.

Technology deals span signatures, plans and closing conditions

Five9 entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Level AI on November 5. Level AI provides AI applications for customer experience, including agent performance, customer interactions across voice and digital channels, and analysis of customer conversations. The transaction remained an agreed acquisition at announcement.

Dropbox’s November 5 news carried a different status: the company announced plans to acquire Tigris Data. Tigris operates a globally distributed object storage platform built for AI workloads. Dropbox paired the acquisition plans with the introduction of DBX Agent Cloud, a storage and data infrastructure offering beginning with standalone, S3-compatible object storage.

Axcelis Technologies and Veeco Instruments issued a timing update for their previously announced all-stock merger. Axcelis and Veeco said they now expect the transaction to close by the end of the first quarter of 2027, subject to satisfaction or waiver of all closing conditions. Both companies’ shareholders approved merger-related proposals on February 6, 2026. The companies cautioned that the revised closing timetable carries no assurance of completion within that period.
