Five9 to Buy Level AI in $325 Million All-Cash Deal

The cloud contact-center platform said Level AI’s native CX applications will automate more voice and digital interactions and turn conversations into organization-wide insights.

Five9, Inc. (FIVN) agreed to acquire Level AI for approximately $325 million in cash, a move the cloud contact-center platform said will add native AI applications that improve agent performance and automate more customer interactions across voice and digital channels.

The deal is expected to close in 2026, subject to the satisfaction of certain closing conditions.

Five9 said the acquisition will augment key capabilities with Level AI’s native AI applications for customer experience, including tools that turn customer conversations into insights the whole organization can use. The company’s Intelligent CX Platform already includes contact center, omni-channel engagement, Workforce Engagement Management, and AI, automation and journey analytics embedded in the platform, serving more than 3,000 organizations worldwide.

“ Our vision for the future of CX is one where AI and human agents work as a coordinated system, each making the other better. Level AI will advance this vision by expanding our AI capabilities, adding experienced AI-native builders to our team, and delivering additional AI solutions for research, analysis, and planning so human agents can focus on high-value and complex customer interactions,” said Amit Mathradas, Chief Executive Officer at Five9.

The purchase is an all-cash transaction rather than a stock mix, and Five9 framed it as a capability build rather than a customer-base roll-up: Level AI’s applications are meant to sit alongside the existing Genius AI stack and the partner ecosystem of more than 1,000 partners. Management’s language centers on coordination between AI and human agents, with Level AI contributing both software and AI-native engineering talent.

Closing remains conditional. Five9 said the transaction is expected to complete in 2026 once certain closing conditions are satisfied, with no further timetable disclosed in the announcement.
