Vontier Raises Full-Year Adjusted Earnings Outlook

Core sales rose 5.7% in the third quarter as adjusted diluted EPS reached $0.92, prompting a lift to $3.60–$3.64 for 2026.

Vontier Corporation (VNT) raised its full-year 2026 adjusted diluted earnings outlook to $3.60 to $3.64 a share after core sales growth turned positive and operating leverage widened, and it initiated fourth-quarter guidance of $0.99 to $1.03 a share.

The global provider of mobility-ecosystem technologies reported third-quarter sales of $736.9 million, down 2.1% from a year earlier, a decline the company attributed to the Teletrac Navman divestiture. Core sales rose 5.7%, reversing a 0.2% core decline in the second quarter.

GAAP operating profit was $158.4 million, up 11.2%, with operating margin up about 260 basis points to 21.5%. Adjusted operating profit was $179.3 million, up 12.1%, and adjusted operating margin rose 300 basis points to 24.3%. Net earnings were $99.0 million, or $0.73 a share diluted; adjusted net earnings were $124.3 million, or $0.92 a share.

President and Chief Executive Officer Mark Morelli said results exceeded the company’s guidance across sales, margin and EPS, that product adoption was contributing to above-market growth, and that simplification and 80/20 initiatives were delivering more meaningful operating leverage, with savings tracking ahead of the original commitment.

Environmental & Fueling Solutions was the growth engine. Sales were $388.9 million, up 8.7%, and core sales rose 13.1%, which the company said was led by demand for fuel dispensing and environmental equipment and aftermarket parts. Segment operating profit was $122.8 million, and margin was 31.6%, up 240 basis points on volume leverage and simplification.

Mobility Technologies sales were $233.6 million, down 13.7% as reported, including $25.9 million of intersegment sales eliminated in consolidation. Core sales rose 2.2%, which the company tied to convenience retail payment, store automation and asset management. Segment operating profit was $60.4 million, and margin was 25.9%, up 740 basis points, driven primarily by cost savings from simplification.

Repair Solutions sales were $140.3 million, down 0.9%, with core sales down 1.0% on macroeconomic pressure on service technicians’ discretionary spending and lower interest income. Segment operating profit was $26.8 million, and margin was 19.1%, down 180 basis points on unfavorable mix.

Operating cash flow was $142.8 million. Adjusted free cash flow was $133.1 million, a 107% conversion of adjusted net earnings, versus 79% conversion in the second quarter.

The company repurchased 2.6 million shares for $80.0 million in the quarter and 8.8 million shares for $280.0 million year-to-date. Net leverage ended the quarter at 2.3 times. Cash and cash equivalents were $258.4 million at October 2, 2026.

For full-year 2026, Vontier expects total sales of approximately $3,030 million, core sales growth of about 3% at the midpoint, adjusted operating profit margin expansion of about 180 basis points year-over-year at the midpoint, and adjusted free cash flow conversion of about 95%. Fourth-quarter sales are expected at approximately $785 million, with core sales growth of about 3% and adjusted operating profit margin expansion of about 280 basis points year-over-year at the midpoint.
