For the fiscal first quarter ending January 1, 2027, MACOM expects revenue of $450 million to $460 million, adjusted gross margin of 62.0% to 63.0%, and adjusted earnings of $2.21 to $2.29 a share, using an anticipated non-GAAP income tax rate of 6% and 79.0 million fully diluted shares. That revenue range sits above the $415 million to $425 million outlook the company had given for the fiscal fourth quarter. The first-quarter adjusted gross-margin outlook of 62.0% to 63.0% is above the fourth-quarter outlook of 60.0% to 61.0%. First-quarter adjusted EPS guidance of $2.21 to $2.29 is also above the fourth-quarter outlook of $1.97 to $2.03.
The company said it expects its non-GAAP income tax rate to increase to approximately 6% for fiscal 2027, from 3% used in fiscal 2026 and 2025, primarily as a result of growth in profitability and utilization of remaining historical deferred tax assets.
