Corcept Reiterates 2026 Guidance After Lifyorli Ramp
Third-quarter revenue reached $340.5 million, up 64% from a year earlier, as Lifyorli sales hit $91.4 million and net income rose to $126.8 million.
Corcept Therapeutics Incorporated (CORT), a commercial-stage company developing cortisol-modulating medicines, reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of $340.5 million, a 64 percent increase from $207.6 million a year earlier, after a 32 percent year-over-year rise in the second quarter.
Revenue was $256.1 million in the second quarter, compared with $164.9 million in the first quarter.
Lifyorli, the selective glucocorticoid receptor antagonist approved in March 2026 for platinum-resistant ovarian cancer, was the growth engine. Product revenue from Lifyorli grew 92 percent sequentially to $91.4 million, after $47.6 million in its first full quarter of availability. Korlym and authorized generic revenue increased 19 percent, to $249.1 million, from $208.6 million in the second quarter.
Chief Executive Officer Joseph K. Belanoff said awareness of diagnosing and treating Cushing’s syndrome is steadily increasing and is driving the endocrinology business. He said Lifyorli’s uptake in ovarian cancer has been rapid and broad: since the April 1 launch, more than 2,300 patients have received the medication and more than 1,700 physicians have prescribed it, versus more than 1,300 patients who had started treatment as of the second-quarter update.
Net income was $126.8 million, compared with $19.7 million in the third quarter of 2025. Diluted net income per common share was $1.01, versus $0.16 a year earlier. Sequential net income rose from $43.0 million in the second quarter. Operating expenses were $225.7 million, compared with $214.8 million in the second quarter.
Cash and investments increased $117.7 million in the quarter to $662.3 million at September 30, 2026, from $544.6 million at June 30. The company said the September 30 balance reflects the acquisition of $43.7 million of common stock in the third quarter under its repurchase program, as well as shares acquired upon option exercises and restricted-stock vesting.
Corcept reiterated 2026 revenue guidance of $1.1 billion to $1.2 billion after raising that range in the second quarter. Belanoff said the company expects continued growth in both businesses.
Clinical and regulatory updates accompanied the financials. BELLA Part A, a Phase 2 trial of relacorilant plus nab-paclitaxel and bevacizumab in 95 patients with platinum-resistant ovarian cancer, showed median progression-free survival of 7.2 months, an objective response rate of 59 percent and 6-month overall survival of 88 percent. Among patients who had not received bevacizumab previously, median PFS was 8.1 months, ORR 66 percent and 6-month OS 91 percent. The company said the safety profile was consistent with the known profiles of each agent, with no new safety signals.
The European Medicines Agency’s CHMP recommended in September 2026 that the European Commission approve the marketing authorization application for relacorilant plus nab-paclitaxel in platinum-resistant ovarian cancer; Corcept said approval is expected by the end of the year.
A resubmitted New Drug Application for relacorilant in Cushing’s syndrome carries a PDUFA date of December 17, 2026. BELLA Parts B and C, TRIDENT and SYNERGY are expected to generate data by the end of next year.
