The industrial technology company said core growth had accelerated from 6.7% in the second quarter, after 5.3% in the first quarter. Reported growth of 7.8% was slightly below the 7.9% reported rate in the second quarter.

GAAP net earnings from continuing operations were $173 million, up 47.4% from $117 million. GAAP diluted earnings per share rose 62.9% to $0.57 from $0.35. The GAAP net earnings margin was 15.6%. Adjusted diluted EPS was $0.77, up 13.2% from $0.68. Adjusted EBITDA was $339 million, up 9.5%, with a 30.6% margin.

President and CEO Olumide Soroye said the company delivered over 7% core growth, approximately 10% adjusted EBITDA growth, and 13% adjusted EPS growth, which he described as a fifth consecutive quarter of double-digit adjusted EPS growth. He said Fortive is executing its Fortive Accelerated strategy and continues to see growing evidence that investments in innovation acceleration, commercial acceleration, and recurring customer value are contributing to faster revenue growth.

Intelligent Operating Solutions was the growth engine. Segment revenue was $767 million, up 9.8% reported and 9.1% core, after 8.8% reported and 7.4% core in the second quarter. GAAP operating profit was $223 million, and the GAAP operating margin was 29.1%. Adjusted EBITDA was $275 million, with a 35.8% margin.

Advanced Healthcare Solutions moved the other way. Revenue was $340 million, up 3.7% reported and 3.1% core, slower than 6.0% reported and 5.3% core in the second quarter. GAAP operating profit fell 10.1% to $38 million, and the operating margin compressed 170 basis points to 11.2%. Adjusted EBITDA declined 4.8% to $88 million, and the adjusted EBITDA margin compressed 230 basis points to 25.8%.

GAAP operating cash flow was $313 million. Free cash flow was $284 million. Trailing-twelve-month GAAP operating cash flow was $1.177 billion and trailing-twelve-month free cash flow was $1.062 billion.

Fortive deployed about $300 million toward share repurchases in the quarter, representing about 5 million shares or about 2% of diluted shares outstanding. Total repurchases since the launch of new Fortive reached about $2.3 billion, or about 43 million shares, or about 13% of shares outstanding.

Soroye said the company is raising full-year adjusted EPS guidance to $3.10 to $3.14, reflecting strong year-to-date performance and confidence in the trajectory of the business. He said Fortive remains fully confident in its ability to deliver on the medium-term financial framework shared at its last Investor Day.

The prior outlook after the second quarter had been $2.95 to $3.05, itself raised from the $2.90 to $3.00 range reaffirmed after the first quarter.

On June 28, 2025, Fortive completed the separation of its former Precision Technologies segment by distributing Ralliant Corporation stock to shareholders. All amounts in the release refer to continuing operations unless otherwise indicated.
