Salesforce to Buy Braze in All-Cash Deal
Salesforce said Braze’s real-time engagement and AI decisioning tools are expected to complement Salesforce’s four architecture layers — Data 360, Customer 360, Agentforce and SIForce — following the close and sharpen Marketing Cloud personalization.
Salesforce (CRM) agreed to acquire Braze (BRZE) in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $5.66 billion in enterprise value, paying $47.50 a share.
The software company said the close is expected in Salesforce’s fiscal year 2028, subject to customary conditions including approval by Braze’s shareholders and required regulatory approvals.
Salesforce said the purchase is expected to complement Braze’s real-time engagement and AI decisioning across all four layers of its architecture — Data 360, Customer 360, Agentforce, and SIForce — and to strengthen Marketing Cloud’s cross-channel personalization.
“Every interaction is an opportunity to wow your customers,” said Patrick Stokes, President, Applications and Marketing, Salesforce. “Most of that wow comes from knowing your customer, and responding at just the right moment. Braze was built to turn live customer behavior into personalized engagement at scale. Bringing that capability together with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, CRM, and Data 360 will deliver that wow moment in every customer interaction.”
The company said Braze’s event-streaming architecture turns live customer signals and data from cloud data warehouses and other platforms into personalized messages and coordinated journeys. Salesforce and Braze also share a commitment to an open, composable approach that gives customers flexibility across the data, tools, and partners they rely on.
Shareholder votes and regulatory clearances remain outstanding. Salesforce said the deal is expected to close in fiscal 2028 once those customary conditions are satisfied.
