Vita Coco Raises 2026 Sales and Ebitda Outlook

Third-quarter net sales reached $244 million, up 34%, as the company lifted full-year sales guidance to as much as $820 million.

The Vita Coco Company (COCO), a better-for-you beverage platform, raised its fiscal 2026 net sales outlook to between $810 million and $820 million after a third quarter in which net sales reached $244 million, up 34% from a year earlier.

The company also lifted full-year non-GAAP Adjusted EBITDA guidance to $170 million to $175 million, from a prior range of $154 million to $161 million. Prior sales guidance of $790 million to $805 million already included Copra.

Organic net sales growth, which excludes the July 2026 Copra acquisition, was 18% in the third quarter. Chief Executive Officer Martin Roper said that underlying growth exceeded the company’s expectations and that consumer demand was “very healthy.”

Vita Coco Coconut Water net sales grew 15% in the third quarter, after 21% growth in the second quarter and 42% in the first. Case-equivalent volume for the branded coconut water rose 16% in the third quarter. Private Label net sales grew 152%, with Copra contributing to the line. Copra branded coconut water and commodity sales were recognized in Other.

Gross profit was $93 million, up from $69 million a year earlier. Gross margin was 38% of net sales, in line with the prior-year quarter. The company said the margin benefited from minimal tariffs versus the year-ago period, offset by higher domestic logistics costs and the dilutive impact of Copra.

Selling, general and administrative expenses were $47 million, compared with $41 million a year earlier. The company attributed the increase primarily to Copra-related costs, amortization of acquired intangibles, higher people-related costs including headcount and stock-based compensation, and higher sales-related expenses.

Net income was $35 million, or $0.58 a share, compared with $24 million, or $0.40 a share, a year earlier. Non-GAAP Adjusted EBITDA was $53 million, up $21 million from $32 million.

Cash and cash equivalents were $152 million at September 30, 2026, down $127 million from the end of the second quarter after $139 million of net cash used for the Copra acquisition. The company remained debt-free. Inventory was $111 million, flat to December 31, 2025, with Copra inventory offsetting a drawdown from year-to-date shipments. Accounts receivable were $129 million.

The company said it expects full-year gross margin of approximately 40%, with a benefit versus the prior year from lower tariffs, tariff refunds, and higher pricing, partially offset by increased ocean freight, product and other transportation costs, and adverse product mix from Copra’s private label business and strong private label trends. Fourth-quarter gross margin is expected to be approximately 33% due to higher cost of goods and no offsetting price actions until early 2027.

SG&A leverage guidance was raised to approximately 1.5 percentage points of net sales versus 2025, from a prior one percentage point. The company said it expects full-year net sales of $810 million to $820 million, driven by low-20s percent growth of Vita Coco Coconut Water, strong Private Label trends, and the addition of Copra.

Co-Founder and Executive Chairman Michael Kirban said coconut water growth maintained through the fall and that the company was pleased to welcome the Copra team and begin executing joint plans to compete in the super premium segment.
