The Bureau of Economic Analysis seasonally adjusted Personal Consumption Expenditures Price Index rose 0.3% in August 2026, to 131.58 on a 2017=100 scale, from July.
That monthly gain of 0.41 index points left the gauge 3.4% above August 2025, a 4.35-point year-ago increase.
