Ondas to Buy Three Defense Firms in $56 Million Mixed Deal
The autonomous-systems company said the three purchases will add technologies for autonomous platforms in contested environments.
Ondas Inc. (ONDS) agreed to acquire Insignito, Ottopia Defense and Caribou Labs for aggregate consideration of $56 million, payable in cash or Ondas common stock.
The autonomous-systems company said the three purchases are designed to strengthen its existing and future autonomous platforms, accelerate development of integrated solutions and create new growth opportunities across the defense and autonomous systems markets.
“These acquisitions reflect our strategy of assembling the critical technologies required to make autonomous systems more capable, resilient and scalable in contested environments,” said Eric Brock, Chairman and CEO of Ondas Inc. “Together, these businesses give Ondas more to sell and more ways to win.”
The mixed cash-and-stock structure follows the pattern Ondas has used in other 2026 defense purchases. In July, it acquired DZYNE Technologies with a mixture of cash and stock, with more than 50% of the stock consideration subject to a six-month lock-up, to build a U.S. defense division spanning ISR, counter-UAS and autonomous effects. In September, it acquired GATE Technologies and Bron Technologies for $205 million, the majority in cash, plus a working-capital adjustment and up to $185 million in performance-based earn-out consideration, adding electronic safe-and-arm and fuzing technology to its precision-strike platform.
Earlier in the year, Ondas completed a $175 million merger with U.S. defense prime contractor Mistral, which added about $264 million to backlog and direct prime access to U.S. Army and Special Operations contract vehicles. It also completed the acquisition of UK-based Rotron Aerospace, which it positioned as a UK go-to-market platform for long-range unmanned systems.
The $56 million package is smaller than those larger combinations, and the company did not disclose a premium, an exchange ratio or an expected close date for the three targets. Brock framed the deals as a continuation of the same assembly of technologies for autonomous systems in contested environments.
