Construction Partners Adds Roads, Inc. of NWF
The Florida Panhandle deal folds the contractor into C.W. Roberts to deepen CPI’s public and private infrastructure coverage in the region.
Construction Partners, Inc. (ROAD) said it has agreed to acquire Roads, Inc. of NWF, adding a Florida Panhandle contractor to its C.W. Roberts Contracting, Incorporated platform.
The vertically integrated civil infrastructure company did not disclose a purchase price, payment mix, or expected close. It described the deal as an expansion of CWR’s operations in the Florida Panhandle and an enhancement of its ability to serve public and private infrastructure customers throughout the region.
Fred J. (Jule) Smith, III, the company’s President and Chief Executive Officer, said, “We are pleased to welcome the Roads, Inc. team to the CPI family of companies. This transaction expands CWR’s operations in the Florida Panhandle and enhances our ability to serve public and private infrastructure customers throughout this growing region.”
CPI operates in local markets throughout the Sunbelt in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas, supported by hot-mix asphalt plants, aggregate facilities, and liquid asphalt terminals. Florida is one of those states, and C.W. Roberts is the company’s Florida platform.
The Panhandle addition follows CPI’s October 2025 completion of the P&S Paving, Inc. acquisition in Daytona Beach, which expanded its footprint into northeast and central Florida and into the Interstate 95 corridor. Those operations also sit under C.W. Roberts.
Smith’s comment that the region is growing mirrors the language CPI used when it folded P&S into CWR, when he said the east coast of Florida is a rapidly growing portion of the state.
The company has continued to add paving, sitework, and asphalt-plant capacity in other Sunbelt states since then, including Oklahoma and Tennessee, but the Roads, Inc. of NWF deal is the latest Florida Panhandle step for C.W. Roberts.
