EcoPro reports 1.64 trillion won half-year revenue
The battery materials business contributed 1.18 trillion won to the total consolidated revenue.
The holding company for the EcoPro Group, which manages environmental and battery material businesses, reported consolidated revenue of 1.64 trillion won for the first half of 2026. The battery materials segment served as the primary driver, accounting for 72.1% of the total. Within this segment, EcoPro BM generated 1.18 trillion won, while EcoPro Materials and EcoPro Innovation contributed 345.3 billion won and 168.9 billion won respectively.
Revenue trajectories for the battery materials segment showed a decline compared to previous full-year periods. EcoPro BM recorded 1.08 trillion won in exports and 103.1 billion won in domestic sales for the first half of 2026, down from 2.10 trillion won in exports and 435.4 billion won in domestic sales in 2025. EcoPro Materials reported 59.1 billion won in exports and 286.2 billion won in domestic sales for the same period.
The environmental business, led by EcoPro HN, recorded 86.2 billion won in revenue. This total included 27.7 billion won from cleanroom chemical filters, 23.6 billion won from greenhouse gas reduction solutions, and 27.1 billion won from fine dust reduction solutions. The company also reported 7.3 billion won from water treatment solutions.
Capital investment in production facilities increased for key subsidiaries. EcoPro BM increased its assets from a starting balance of 1.01 trillion won to 1.85 trillion won. EcoPro Materials grew its asset base from 400.0 billion won to 1.02 trillion won. The company said it plans to secure cathode material production facilities within Europe to minimize geopolitical risks and respond to market demand.
EcoPro HN is pursuing new ventures in carbon capture technology, resource recovery from wastewater, and semiconductor process materials for HBM4E. The company also intends to expand sales of electrolyte additives and cathode dopants.
EcoPro CNG plans to expand its BRP plant for battery recycling pre- and post-processing in Korea. The company also intends to increase pre- and post-processing capacity in connection with cathode material production hubs globally.
EcoPro AP intends to continue its industrial gas business for battery materials and pursue high-value special gas and O&M businesses. The company said it does not expect a large investment burden as it will utilize existing ASU equipment.
To strengthen research and development, the company plans to continue securing personnel and integrate R&D organizations across the group. The company said it expects to gain technical competitiveness through this integrated research approach.
