Standard Lithium Increases Capital Contributions to Smackover Projects

The company directed $27.2 million toward projects held by Smackover Lithium during the first half of 2026

Standard Lithium Ltd. (SLI), a lithium brine exploration and development company, reported a net loss of $5.8 million for the six months ended June 30, 2026. The company recorded a net loss of $5.79 million for the period, compared to a net loss of $6.53 million for the same period in 2025.

Capital deployment accelerated toward the company's primary development goals. Standard Lithium directed $27.2 million in capital contributions to advance projects held by Smackover Lithium during the first half of 2026. This represents a significant increase from the $8.3 million in capital contributions made for the same purpose during the first six months of 2025. The investment in Smackover Lithium on the balance sheet rose to $193.1 million as of June 30, 2026, up from $168.9 million on December 31, 2025.

Operating expenditures for the six months ended June 30, 2026, totaled $9.0 million, driven primarily by back-office professional costs and Demonstration Plant operations. This was an increase from the $7.0 million in operating expenditures recorded during the first half of 2025. For the three months ended June 30, 2026, the company reported a loss from operations of $4.0 million, compared to $6.6 million for the three months ended June 30, 2025.

To fund these activities, the company utilized its at-the-market equity program. Financing activities provided $21.3 million in net cash during the first half of 2026, including $20.2 million from the issuance of common shares under the current ATM program. In the first half of 2025, financing activities provided $17.9 million, with $18.0 million coming from a previous ATM program,.

Cash and restricted cash totaled $138.4 million at the end of the period. The company experienced a net cash outflow of $15.1 million during the first six months of 2026, compared to a net cash inflow of $2.6 million during the same period in 2025.

Standard Lithium said it expects to have sufficient access to capital to fund budgeted operations and advance toward a final investment decision for the initial phase of the South West Arkansas Project through June 30, 2027. The company added that additional sources of capital will be required to take the final investment decision and begin construction.
