Westrock Coffee Maintains Full Year EBITDA Guidance Despite Sales Slowdown

The beverage provider reported consolidated adjusted EBITDA of $21.3 million for the second quarter.

Westrock Coffee (WEST), a provider of coffee and beverage solutions, reported consolidated adjusted EBITDA of $21.3 million for the second quarter. The result marked the fifth consecutive quarter of year-over-year growth for the metric, which rose 38.9%.

Growth in the company's top line slowed significantly during the period. Net sales grew 8.8% year-over-year to $305.7 million. This represented a deceleration from the 44.4% growth reported in the first quarter.

Gross profit fell 8.8% year-over-year to $37.7 million. The decline reversed a 57.4% increase recorded in the prior quarter.

Performance diverged across the company's primary segments. Net sales for the Beverage Solutions segment increased 16.8% year-over-year to $243.9 million, though this was a deceleration from the 45.9% growth seen in the first quarter. Conversely, the Sustainable Sourcing & Traceability segment saw net sales decrease 14.2% year-over-year to $61.8 million, contrasting with a 39.8% increase in the previous quarter.

Earnings in the Sustainable Sourcing & Traceability segment also declined. Adjusted EBITDA for the unit fell to $2.0 million from $3.3 million in the prior year period, and was down from $6.5 million in the first quarter.

Westrock Coffee reaffirmed its 2026 consolidated adjusted EBITDA guidance of $90.0 million to $100.0 million, maintaining the range it provided on March 10, 2026.

The company turned free cash flow positive ahead of its anticipated schedule during the quarter. Capital expenditures dropped to $6.5 million from $20.5 million in the second quarter of 2025, continuing a downward trend from the $7.1 million spent in the first quarter.

In a separate financial move, the company extended the maturity of approximately $361 million of credit facility loans from August 29, 2027, to November 29, 2028, and terminated its covenant relief period early.
