10x Genomics Lifts 2026 Sales Outlook After Atera Demand

The company now expects full-year revenue of $610 million to $630 million, up from a prior range of $600 million to $625 million.

10x Genomics (TXG) raised its full-year 2026 revenue outlook after a second quarter in which settlement-excluded sales growth slowed and the company booked a net loss, citing customer response to its new Atera spatial platform.

The life science technology company now expects 2026 revenue of $610 million to $630 million, versus the prior range of $600 million to $625 million. Excluding non-recurring license and royalty revenue tied to patent litigation settlements in both 2026 and 2025, the new range represents 2% to 5% growth over full-year 2025, compared with 0% to 4% under the prior guide.

Revenue was $151.0 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. Excluding $1.6 million of settlement revenue in the current quarter and $27.3 million in the year-ago quarter, sales increased 3% versus the corresponding period of 2025, after a 9% increase excluding settlements in the first quarter.

Co-founder and Chief Executive Serge Saxonov said the quarter’s story was customer response to Atera, which the company launched in the first quarter and expects to start shipping in the second half of 2026. He said the company was “highly encouraged by the engagement across the research ecosystem and the very strong early order flow.”

Gross margin expanded to 74% from 70% in the first quarter. The increase was primarily due to lower manufacturing costs, including $2.6 million of tariff refunds, and lower inventory write-downs, partially offset by a decrease in non-recurring license and royalty revenue.

Operating expenses were $132.1 million. Excluding settlement gains, operating expenses were approximately flat year over year. The gain on settlement fell to $3.4 million from $40.7 million a year earlier. Operating loss was $19.6 million. Net loss was $17.9 million, or $0.14 a share.

Products and services revenue was $149.1 million. Single Cell consumables were $88.5 million and Spatial consumables were $42.3 million. Instruments revenue was $7.7 million, with Single Cell instruments at $3.1 million and Spatial instruments at $4.6 million. Services were $10.7 million. License and royalty revenue was $1.9 million.

United States revenue was $82.1 million. Europe, Middle East and Africa was $40.0 million. China was $15.0 million and Asia-Pacific excluding China was $11.1 million.

The company acquired Proteintech Genomics, a division of Proteintech Group, adding protein detection capabilities to its single cell and spatial platforms. It also announced multi-year research collaborations with Cleveland Clinic and Lausanne University Hospital on diagnostic applications of single cell and spatial technologies for cancer care.

Cash and cash equivalents and marketable securities were $552.0 million as of June 30, 2026.

Saxonov said that combined with continued momentum across the rest of the business and a strong operating foundation, the company is “uniquely well-positioned for the opportunities ahead.”
