(ONDS) acquired Sentrycs, an Israeli firm specializing in RF-based drone detection and mitigation. Similarly, AeroVironment (AVAV) previously moved to expand its total addressable market in counter-UAS and electronic warfare through its union with BlueHalo.
Smaller-scale acquisitions in the sector have also persisted, such as Draganfly Inc. (DPRO) acquiring the drone technology business of Skip Dynamix for up to $7.525 million in a mix of cash, shares, and earn-outs. These transactions signal a continuing cycle of integration as defense and security firms seek to build "detect-to-defeat" architectures to address evolving airspace threats.
