Trilogy Said U.S. Investment Talks Continued Past Deadline
The proposed U.S. strategic equity investment remained approximately $35.6 million.
Trilogy Metals (TMQ), the mineral exploration company, said discussions over a proposed U.S. Department of War investment were continuing after the latest completion deadline passed.
The update marked a shift from the prior quarter, when Trilogy had extended the transaction’s completion deadline to July 31, 2026.
The size of the proposed strategic equity investment remained approximately $35.6 million, leaving the prospective government commitment unchanged across the period.
The transaction originated in an October 2025 letter of intent. That agreement remained in effect as of the August 3 update.
The company gave no new completion date in the update, leaving the timing dependent on the continuing discussions.
The missed July deadline prolonged the process while preserving the proposed investment under the existing letter of intent.
