BNP Paribas Revenues Rise 4.9% on CIB and IPS Growth
Full-year revenues reached €51,223 million as the integration of AXA IM boosted investment and financial services results.
BNP Paribas (BNP), the largest bank in the European Union, reported full-year revenues of €51,223 million in 2025, an increase of 4.9% from €48,831 million in 2024.
The Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) segment drove the top line, with revenues rising 5.6% to €18,997 million. This growth was supported by a 9.1% increase in Global Markets and an 8.1% increase in Securities Services.
Investment and Financial Services (IPS) revenues rose 19.6% to €6,929 million. Excluding the impact of the AXA IM integration, the segment grew 6.1%, with Wealth Management and Insurance increasing 9.0% and 8.1%, respectively.
Corporate and Personal Banking Solutions (CPBS) revenues increased 2.6% to €26,717 million. A 5.3% increase in Commercial & Personal Banking offset a 2.0% decrease in Specialised Businesses.
Operating expenses rose 3.9% to €31,374 million. When excluding the consolidation of AXA IM, expenses increased 1.6%. The cost-income ratio improved to 61.2% from 61.8% in 2024.
Credit costs rose as the full-year cost of risk increased to €3,350 million from €2,999 million in 2024. Despite the higher provisions, net income attributable to the Group share increased 4.6% to €12,225 million from €11,688 million in 2024.
The CET1 ratio stood at 12.6% as of December 31, 2025, down from 12.9% as of December 31, 2024. Return on non-revaluated tangible equity (RoTE) rose to 11.6% from 10.9%.
Capital returns increased across both dividends and repurchases. The total dividend paid on 2025 earnings rose 7.7% to €5.16 per share from €4.79 in 2024. The bank also executed a €1.15 billion share buyback, up from the €1.08 billion programme launched for 2024 earnings.
