Micro-Cap Earnings Roundup for Week of Nov. 2, 2026

Priority Technology’s third-quarter revenue rose 11.3% as net income fell 55.7%. Arq returned to profitability, while Sight Sciences increased revenue 25%, with dry-eye sales rising sharply.

Higher revenue came with different profit outcomes in micro-cap earnings released during the week of Nov. 2. Priority Technology increased third-quarter revenue but reported lower operating income and net income. Arq increased revenue and returned to profitability, alongside a substantial improvement in gross margin. Those contrasting results put the operating details behind growth at the center of this week’s roundup.

Priority’s revenue rose as operating income fell

Priority Technology’s revenue reached $268.6 million for the quarter ended Sept. 30, up 11.3% year over year, including 9.2% organic growth. Gross profit increased 8.1% to $97 million, but gross margin declined to 36.1% from 37.2%. Operating income fell 5% to $35.9 million, and net income dropped 55.7% to $12.2 million. Non-GAAP adjusted EBITDA nevertheless rose 5.5% to $60.9 million, illustrating the different directions of its reported and adjusted earnings measures.

EverQuote also paired revenue growth with lower GAAP net income in the quarter ended Sept. 30. Revenue rose 25% to $218.1 million; automotive insurance revenue increased 21%, while home and renters insurance revenue grew 70%. EverQuote’s CEO said carriers maintained strong underwriting profitability and an appetite for growth. Adjusted EBITDA increased 41% to $35.5 million, but GAAP net income slipped to $18.2 million from $18.9 million. EverQuote attributed the net-income result to higher income taxes and a one-time item.

PAR Technology’s third-quarter revenue increased 15% to $137.1 million, and annual recurring revenue rose 18.1% to $354.5 million. PAR’s CEO said enterprise deployments and growing adoption of multiple products supported its performance. Its GAAP net loss narrowed to $9 million from $18.2 million. Subscription-service gross margin improved to 55.8% from 55.3%, although the corresponding non-GAAP margin declined to 66% from 66.2%.

Arq’s margin improved; LSI’s acquisition lifted sales

Arq reported third-quarter revenue of $38.2 million, up 9% year over year, and net income of $2.5 million, compared with a prior-year net loss of $0.9 million, as adjusted. Gross margin increased to 39.7% from 28.8%. Arq said higher sales volumes drove revenue growth and attributed its margin improvement to powdered activated carbon business performance. Arq raised the lower end of its full-year adjusted EBITDA guidance to $19 million from $17 million, retaining the $20 million upper end.

LSI Industries’ fiscal 2027 first-quarter sales increased 44% to $225.9 million for the period ended Sept. 30. LSI said the increase included contributions from its March acquisition of Royston Group. Sales excluding that acquisition declined 2%, however, a decrease LSI attributed to demand softness in North American nonresidential lighting. Adjusted EBITDA rose 41% to $22.2 million, with an adjusted EBITDA margin of 9.8%; GAAP net income was $7.1 million.

Mativ provided a different exception to industrial growth. Third-quarter sales declined 2.8% to $499.5 million, and adjusted EBITDA fell 7% to $62.3 million. Mativ attributed the sales decline primarily to a previously disclosed tornado; its CEO identified the disruption as occurring in Wisconsin in July. Mativ’s CEO also said robust aerospace-and-defense and transportation demand drove record sales growth in its FAM segment. The company’s GAAP loss narrowed to $1.2 million from $3.2 million.

Sight Sciences’ revenue rose; STAAR’s sales fell

Sight Sciences’ third-quarter revenue increased 25% to $24.9 million. Interventional Dry Eye revenue reached $3.9 million, compared with $0.2 million a year earlier, while Interventional Glaucoma revenue increased 7% to $21 million. Sight Sciences’ CEO said the results demonstrated increasing adoption of its technologies. Quarterly cash usage fell 74% year over year to $2.4 million, giving the revenue expansion an accompanying improvement in cash consumption.

Cytek Biosciences reported slower overall growth but stronger gross margin for the quarter ended Sept. 30. Revenue rose 2% to $53.2 million, while GAAP gross margin increased 590 basis points to 59%. Service and reagent revenue totaled $19.1 million. Cytek’s CEO said U.S. revenue grew 12% and demand for high-end instruments remained strong. Cytek narrowed its full-year revenue guidance to $208 million–$211 million while maintaining the midpoint.

STAAR Surgical’s quarter ended Oct. 2 showed how the prior-year comparison could alter the growth reading. Net sales fell 12% to $83.4 million; STAAR reported 21% growth excluding the $25.9 million of previously deferred China sales recognized in the prior-year quarter. Net income was $5.6 million. STAAR also completed the transition of all implantable lens manufacturing for the Chinese market to Switzerland, which the company said reduced its exposure to U.S.–China tariffs.
