Rogers Corporation (ROG), a maker of engineered electronic and elastomeric materials, reported third-quarter 2026 net sales of $236.1 million, up 9.3% from a year earlier, as year-over-year sales growth accelerated from 6.9% in the second quarter and 5.2% in the first.
The Chandler, Arizona-based company said the higher sales were concentrated primarily in the electronics and communications and automotive end markets. Currency exchange rates favorably affected net sales by $2.4 million compared with the prior year.
Gross margin was 34.2%, up 70 basis points from 33.5% a year earlier. Net income was $22.6 million, compared with $8.6 million in the third quarter of 2025. Diluted earnings were $1.26 a share, versus $0.48 a year earlier. Adjusted earnings were $1.39 a share, compared with $0.90. The company said the increase in adjusted earnings resulted primarily from stronger sales and improved margins.
Adjusted EBITDA was $47.7 million, up $10.5 million from $37.2 million a year earlier, and the adjusted EBITDA margin expanded to 20.2% from 17.2%. Restructuring and impairment charges were $1.0 million in the quarter, down from $7.1 million a year earlier.
President and CEO Ali El-Haj said third-quarter results demonstrated continued strengthening of Rogers’ financial performance, with year-over-year growth in sales, adjusted EBITDA and adjusted earnings per share, and that improved execution, closer customer engagement and a more efficient operating structure continued to translate into stronger results.
Net cash provided by operating activities was $41.4 million, compared with $28.9 million a year earlier. Free cash flow was $35.4 million. Capital expenditures were $6.0 million. Cash and cash equivalents ended the quarter at $206.1 million and short-term investments were $30.3 million; those balances together increased by $25.0 million from the prior quarter. For the fourth quarter of 2026, Rogers expects net sales of $215 million to $225 million, gross margin of 32.5% to 33.5%, adjusted earnings of $0.90 to $1.10 a share, and adjusted EBITDA of $37 million to $43 million. Full-year 2026 capital expenditures are expected at $30 million to $35 million.
El-Haj said the company expects further year-over-year improvement in fourth-quarter financial performance as it builds on progress in commercial execution and operational effectiveness. He said the growth strategy is centered on leveraging Rogers’ proven capabilities and deep customer relationships to drive growth in core markets and high-potential adjacent opportunities, and that with a disciplined focus on execution and a healthy balance sheet, the company is well positioned to translate growth opportunities into stronger earnings and shareholder returns.
