Weight Watchers Narrows 2026 Outlook After Clinical Mix Shift

Clinical Subscription Revenue reached $38.0 million, 25% of the quarter's $152.9 million in sales, as Adjusted EBITDA rose 21% to $51.7 million.

WW International (WW), the science-backed weight-management company, reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of $152.9 million, down 11% from a year earlier, as Clinical Subscription Revenue rose 48% to $38.0 million and accounted for 25% of total sales, up from 15% in the year-ago quarter.

The mix shift was the quarter’s defining operating turn. Clinical Subscription Revenue’s 48% year-over-year increase was the largest Clinical growth percentage in any quarter of 2026 to date, after 32% in the first quarter and 30.4% in the second. Behavioral Subscription Revenue was $113.9 million, down 21.5% year-over-year. Other revenue was $0.94 million.

Clinical End of Period Subscribers were 174 thousand, up 40% year-over-year, after 197 thousand at the end of the second quarter. Total End of Period Subscribers were 2.3 million. Core+ End of Period Subscribers reached 546 thousand, up 16% year-over-year, extending sequential growth in the higher-value Behavioral tier for a fourth consecutive quarter. Monthly Subscription Revenue Per Average Subscriber was $21.17, up 14% year-over-year, which the company said reflected the growing share of Clinical and continued Core+ growth.

Profitability improved on both a GAAP and adjusted basis. Net income was $15.1 million, or $1.51 a share, compared with a net loss of $57.5 million, or $5.76 a share, in the third quarter of 2025. Adjusted EBITDA increased 21% year-over-year to $51.7 million from $42.8 million, a 33.8% margin. The company said the increase reflected continued expense discipline and lower marketing than in the year-ago quarter, which included investment to support a product launch. Adjusted EBITDA had been $39.8 million in the second quarter and a $1.8 million loss in the first.

Gross margin was 71.1% and Adjusted Gross Margin was 74.6%, both the highest of the first three quarters of 2026, compared with 72.1% and 75.1% in the third quarter of 2025. Marketing expense was $33.1 million.

Cash and cash equivalents were $126.4 million at quarter end, up from $101.5 million at the end of the second quarter. Long-term debt, net, was $424.0 million at September 30, 2026.

The company narrowed its full-year fiscal 2026 guidance. Revenue is now expected at $625 million to $630 million, compared with the prior range of $620 million to $635 million. Adjusted EBITDA guidance is $110 million to $115 million, compared with $105 million to $115 million.

Stephen Bye, who became President and Chief Executive Officer on October 1, said his focus is on strengthening the member experience, improving products and applications, and building on work already underway. Chief Financial Officer Felicia DellaFortuna said the company remained focused on its two higher-value product offerings and on calibrating spend across the portfolio.
