Entrada Extends Cash Runway Into Fourth Quarter of 2027
Cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities were $193.0 million as of September 30, 2026, and the company said that balance is expected to fund operations into the fourth quarter of 2027.
Entrada Therapeutics (TRDA), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing genetic medicines for neuromuscular disease, said cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities of $193.0 million as of September 30, 2026 are expected to fund operations into the fourth quarter of 2027, a later horizon than the into-third-quarter-of-2027 runway tied to the March 31, 2026 cash balance.
The cash position was down from $295.7 million at December 31, 2025, a decrease the company attributed primarily to cash used to fund operations. Weighted-average shares outstanding were 42.4 million in the third quarter.
Net loss for the three months ended September 30, 2026 was $39.7 million, or $0.94 a share, compared with $44.1 million, or $1.06 a share, a year earlier. Loss from operations was $41.7 million.
Collaboration revenue was $0.9 million in the third quarter of 2026, compared with $1.6 million in the same period of 2025. Research and development expenses were $32.4 million, versus $38.4 million a year earlier; the company said the decrease was primarily driven by lower preclinical costs for its Duchenne programs and lower facility-related costs. General and administrative expenses were $10.2 million, versus $10.3 million. Interest and other income was $2.0 million.
Chief Executive Officer Dipal Doshi said October Cohort 1 data from ELEVATE-45-201 marked a third consecutive readout demonstrating encouraging safety and tolerability across the company’s clinical programs. In October 2026, Entrada reported that Cohort 1 of the global Phase 1/2 multiple ascending dose study of ENTR-601-45 in ambulatory participants with Duchenne muscular dystrophy who are amenable to exon 45 skipping met the primary objectives of favorable safety and tolerability at an initial dose of 5 mg/kg. Headache was the most common treatment-emergent adverse event; one participant had two serious treatment-emergent adverse events that subsequently resolved, and there were no study discontinuations. All Cohort 1 participants progressed to the open-label Phase 2 portion. Cohort 2 enrollment at 10 mg/kg was complete, with data expected in the first half of 2027. The U.S. FDA Office of Orphan Products Development granted orphan drug designation for ENTR-601-45 for Duchenne muscular dystrophy in October 2026.
In ELEVATE-44-201, all Cohort 1 participants have completed open-label dosing, with data expected by year-end 2026. Cohort 2 enrollment at 12 mg/kg is complete and dosing is ongoing, with data expected in the first quarter of 2027. In October 2026, an independent Data Monitoring Committee recommended initiating Cohort 3 at the highest planned dose of 18 mg/kg, and enrollment is ongoing. The company said it will continue to engage with the FDA on ELEVATE-44-102 and provide an update on study design and timing when appropriate.
Vertex completed enrollment and dosing in the multiple ascending dose portion of the GALILEO Phase 1/2 trial of VX-670 in myotonic dystrophy type 1 and is on track to share interim results in the second half of 2026. Doshi said that, including the anticipated Vertex GALILEO readout, the company expects four clinical data readouts through the first half of 2027.
Entrada announced its first ocular candidate, ENTR-801, for potential treatment of Usher syndrome type 2A, and said it plans to nominate a second clinical candidate for an ocular disease by year-end 2026. The company said it expects to submit additional regulatory applications following a review of data from ongoing studies of ENTR-601-50 and ENTR-601-51 and is evaluating options to optimize clinical study execution.
