Wayfair U.S. Revenue Growth Reaches Double Digits
Third-quarter net revenue was $3.42 billion, up 9.7% from a year earlier, as U.S. sales rose 11.4% and orders delivered increased 12.2%.
Wayfair Inc. (W), the online home-goods retailer, reported third-quarter net revenue of $3.42 billion, up 9.7% from a year earlier, as U.S. sales reached $3.04 billion, up 11.4%.
That U.S. pace was faster than the 8.7% increase in the second quarter and the 7.5% increase in the first quarter. Chief executive Niraj Shah said the company had told investors at the start of the year it expected to take U.S. share at a pace not seen in several years, and that U.S. revenue grew double digits against a roughly flat category.
Orders delivered were 11.0 million, up 12.2% from a year earlier, after 6.0% growth in the second quarter. Active customers totaled 22.2 million as of September 30, 2026, up 4.7% from a year earlier. Repeat customers placed 8.8 million orders, or 80.0% of total orders delivered. Average order value was $311, down from $317 a year earlier. Mobile devices accounted for 64.4% of orders delivered.
Shah said the growth was driven by orders and that the momentum on orders and customers gives the company confidence that share gains are structural and that it is still in the early innings.
International net revenue was $380 million, down 2.3% from a year earlier, with constant-currency growth of (1.8)%. U.S. Adjusted EBITDA was $261 million. International Adjusted EBITDA was a $25 million loss.
Gross profit was $1,012 million, or 29.6% of net revenue. Contribution profit was $550 million, or 16.1% of net revenue. Adjusted EBITDA was $236 million, or a 6.9% margin, which the company said was its best third-quarter result since 2020.
GAAP results swung to net income of $62 million, or $0.45 a share, from a $1 million net loss in the second quarter and a $105 million net loss in the first quarter. Non-GAAP adjusted diluted earnings were $0.93 a share.
Net cash provided by operating activities was $198 million. Non-GAAP free cash flow was $136 million. Cash, cash equivalents and short-term investments totaled $1.1 billion, and total liquidity was $1.5 billion including availability under the revolving credit facility.
Shah said the company was confident its share gains were structural and that it was still in the early innings. International sales stayed below year-ago levels even as the U.S. business accelerated.
