Enpro Raises 2026 Outlook After Faster Sales Growth
Third-quarter sales reached $350.8 million, up 22.4%, as Advanced Surface Technologies sales grew 25.8% organically and the company lifted full-year revenue and profit ranges.
Enpro Inc. (NPO), the industrial technology company, reported third-quarter sales of $350.8 million, up 22.4% from a year earlier, as growth that had been building through the year accelerated.
The pace quickened from 17.6% year-over-year growth in the second quarter and 10.9% in the first. Excluding foreign-exchange translation and the AlpHa Measurement Solutions and Overlook Industries deals closed in the fourth quarter of 2025, sales rose 16.9%, versus 10.9% organic growth in the second quarter and 3.6% in the first.
President and Chief Executive Officer Eric Vaillancourt said increased semiconductor industry demand drove Advanced Surface Technologies sales up nearly 26%, while Sealing Technologies delivered nearly 12% organic sales growth and more than 20% including acquisitions. He said the company is raising its outlook for the balance of the year to reflect robust demand across the portfolio and momentum heading into 2027.
Net income was $40.3 million, or $1.88 a share, compared with $21.6 million, or $1.01 a share, a year earlier. Adjusted diluted earnings were $2.66 a share. Adjusted EBITDA was $91.3 million, or 26.0% of sales. Operating margin was 18.0%. The company said operating leverage from sales growth was partially offset by higher expenses supporting growth initiatives. Corporate expense was $13.5 million, up from $10.2 million, primarily on higher incentive compensation accruals and restructuring costs.
Advanced Surface Technologies, which supplies precision manufacturing, coatings, cleaning and refurbishment and optical coatings, posted sales of $136.5 million. The company said the increase was organic and was led by leading-edge precision cleaning solutions and higher demand for semiconductor capital equipment and coatings. Adjusted segment EBITDA was $34.3 million, with the adjusted segment EBITDA margin at 25.1%. Strong sales growth, despite continued growth investments, drove improved operating leverage, the company said.
Sealing Technologies, which safeguards environments in aerospace, industrial, nuclear and other applications, posted sales of $214.7 million. Excluding foreign-exchange translation and the two acquisitions, sales rose 11.6%. The company said strength in aerospace, domestic general industrial and compositional analysis, plus strategic pricing, drove the increase, offset in part by slow European general industrial and food and biopharmaceutical demand. Commercial vehicle OEM demand improved year-over-year. Adjusted segment EBITDA was $69.9 million, with the adjusted segment EBITDA margin at 32.6%.
Consolidated sales excluding foreign-exchange translation and the AlpHa and Overlook acquisitions rose 16.9%. Improved demand across AST for semiconductor products and solutions, strength in aerospace, domestic general industrial and compositional analysis, and strategic pricing more than offset slow European general industrial and food and biopharmaceutical demand, the company said. Nuclear and commercial vehicle OEM revenue improved during the third quarter compared with last year.
Enpro is raising full-year 2026 guidance. It now expects revenue of $1.33 billion to $1.34 billion, or a 16% to 17% increase year over year, adjusted EBITDA of $340 million to $345 million, and adjusted diluted earnings of $9.70 to $9.95 a share. That compares with prior guidance of 14% to 16% revenue growth, adjusted EBITDA of $330 million to $340 million, and adjusted diluted earnings of $9.30 to $9.80 a share.
The board approved a new $50 million share repurchase authorization in October 2026, replacing a prior $50 million authorization that had expired with no shares purchased. The new authorization expires in October 2028. Enpro declared a regular quarterly dividend of $0.32 a share, payable December 16, 2026.
