Cheniere Energy, Inc. (LNG) raised its full-year 2026 Consolidated Adjusted EBITDA guidance to $8.75 billion–$9.25 billion from $7.90 billion–$8.40 billion, and lifted Distributable Cash Flow guidance to $6.05 billion–$6.55 billion from $5.30 billion–$5.80 billion, after completing the final train of its Corpus Christi Stage 3 project and booking a third quarter of higher LNG volumes and margins.
The U.S. LNG producer reported revenue of $6.17 billion for the three months ended September 30, 2026, up 39% from $4.44 billion a year earlier. Net income attributable to Cheniere was $1.17 billion, or $5.65 a share diluted, compared with $1.05 billion, or $4.75 a share, a year earlier. The company said the increase reflected higher total margins on LNG delivered from both higher volumes recognized in income and higher margins per MMBtu, as well as lower income-tax provisions.
Consolidated Adjusted EBITDA was $1.90 billion, up 18% from $1.61 billion a year earlier. Distributable Cash Flow was $1.23 billion. LNG exported volumes were 684 TBtu across 188 cargoes, up 17% and 15% from 586 TBtu and 163 cargoes a year earlier.
In August, substantial completion of Midscale Train 7 of the CCL Stage 3 Project was achieved, marking the project complete ahead of the guaranteed schedule and within budget and expanding LNG production capacity by more than 20%. In the same month Cheniere produced and exported its 5,000th cargo of LNG from U.S. Gulf Coast operations. Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Jack Fusco said the completion of CCL Stage 3 and continued debottlenecking provide increased visibility into the initial production forecast for 2027.
The board declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.625 a share, an increase of more than 12% from the prior quarter’s $0.555, payable November 17, 2026. In the three months ended September 30, Cheniere deployed about $1.5 billion under its capital allocation plan, including $731 million of share repurchases covering about 2.8 million shares, $114 million of dividends, $740 million of growth capital, and $54 million of long-term debt repayment. Available liquidity was $8.08 billion as of September 30, including $1.66 billion of cash, $393 million of restricted cash, and $6.02 billion of available credit-facility commitments.
Commercial activity continued into the expansion pipeline. In October, Sabine Pass Liquefaction and Corpus Christi Liquefaction entered long-term sale and purchase agreements with QatarEnergy for up to 4 million tonnes per annum of LNG on an FOB basis beginning in the early 2030s through 2054, with 1 mtpa subject to a positive final investment decision on the first phase of the SPL Expansion Project. In September, Cheniere Marketing signed a 22-year, 0.8 mtpa FOB agreement with Petrobras.
Regulatory and financing steps advanced on the same expansions. In September, FERC issued the final environmental impact statement for the SPL Expansion Project and a draft EIS for the CCL Expansion Project. Cheniere obtained commitments for a term loan sized at about 50% of total estimated first-phase project costs to finance construction costs not expected to be covered by available cash, subject to a positive FID. Across Sabine Pass and Corpus Christi, the company said it has about 56 mtpa of liquefaction capacity in operation, about 5 mtpa under construction, and more than 40 mtpa in the permitting process.
Fusco said the company’s results and improved outlook enabled the further raise in 2026 guidance ranges. The CCL Midscale Trains 8 & 9 Project, expected at about 5 mtpa, was 58.6% complete as of September 30, with substantial completion targeted for the second half of 2028.
