Roper Raises 2026 Adjusted DEPS Outlook Again
Third-quarter adjusted DEPS of $5.89, up 15%, prompted a lift to $22.35–$22.40 for the full year.
Roper Technologies, Inc. (ROP) raised its full-year 2026 adjusted DEPS outlook for a third consecutive quarter, citing third-quarter results that exceeded its prior range. The company now expects adjusted DEPS of $22.35 to $22.40, up from $22.15 to $22.30 after the second quarter.
Adjusted DEPS for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, was $5.89, up 15% from a year earlier. That compared with the $5.75 to $5.80 the company had forecast for the third quarter after the second-quarter report. GAAP diluted earnings were $4.88 a share, up 33%.
Revenue growth slowed. Total revenue rose 8% to $2.17 billion, after 9% growth in the second quarter and 11% in the first. Organic revenue accelerated to +7% from +5% in the second quarter, while acquisition contribution fell to +1% from +3%. Foreign exchange added nothing.
Adjusted EBITDA increased 7% to $864 million, with the adjusted EBITDA margin at 39.8%, down 40 basis points from 40.2% a year earlier. GAAP net earnings were $485 million, up 22%. Adjusted net earnings were $586 million, up 5%.
Application Software remained the largest reportable segment, with revenue of $1.24 billion and operating profit of $357.6 million, or 28.8% of segment sales. Network Software revenue was $446.1 million and operating profit $189.6 million, or 42.5%. Technology Enabled Products revenue was $486.0 million and operating profit $160.7 million, or 33.1%. Segment operating profit is before unallocated corporate expenses and enterprise-wide stock-based compensation.
President and CEO Neil Hunn said the businesses brought several AI launches to market, highlighted by PowerPlan, Strata, and Vertafore, and that the company is embedding agentic solutions into customer workflows. He said Roper is evolving how it builds, with smaller teams closer to customers and increasingly agentic development processes.
During the quarter Roper deployed $436 million toward three bolt-on acquisitions for its iPipeline, Procare, and Strata businesses and received $1.2 billion in proceeds from Indicor’s sale of its instrumentation businesses. Hunn said the company has more than $6 billion of capital deployment capacity.
The company said it is raising full-year adjusted DEPS guidance driven by third-quarter results that exceeded expectations. Guidance excludes unannounced future acquisitions or divestitures, proceeds from Indicor’s pending divestiture of its Cornell Pump and Roper Pump businesses, and potential share repurchases.
For the fourth quarter of 2026, Roper expects adjusted DEPS of $5.95 to $6.00. Forecasted GAAP DEPS for the fourth quarter are $4.27 to $4.32. The company said full-year DEPS guidance will not equal the sum of the quarters, primarily because of the impact of share repurchases on quarterly versus full-year weighted-average diluted shares outstanding. Forecasted results do not include future impacts associated with the minority investment in Indicor, which the company said cannot be reasonably predicted and will be excluded from non-GAAP results in future periods.
