JELD-WEN Raises 2026 Adjusted EBITDA Floor After Adjusted EBITDA Rebound
Second-quarter Adjusted EBITDA from continuing operations was $42.3 million, the first year-over-year increase in ten quarters, and the company lifted the low end of its 2026 range to $120 million.
JELD-WEN Holding, Inc. (JELD), the global designer and manufacturer of doors and windows, reported Adjusted EBITDA from continuing operations of $42.3 million in the three months ended June 27, 2026, up $3.3 million from $39.0 million a year earlier. Chief Executive Officer William J. Christensen said that marked the first year-over-year increase in ten quarters. Adjusted EBITDA margin was 5.2%, up 50 basis points, which the company attributed primarily to favorable productivity and lower SG&A expense, partially offset by negative price/cost and volume/mix.
The sequential turn was sharper. In the first quarter, Adjusted EBITDA had been $6.1 million, down $15.7 million from a year earlier. The second-quarter figure reversed that year-over-year decline.
Net revenues were $817.8 million, down 0.7% from $823.7 million a year earlier. Core Revenues fell 2%, a slower contraction than the 10% Core decline in the first quarter. Volume/mix dropped 3%, after a 10% volume/mix decline in the prior quarter, with a 1% benefit from price realization. A 1% favorable foreign-exchange impact partially offset the Core decline.
Net loss from continuing operations was $31.5 million, or $0.37 a share, compared with a $22.3 million loss, or $0.26 a share, a year earlier. Operating loss margin narrowed to (0.6%) from (1.7%). Adjusted EPS from continuing operations was ($0.11), excluding net after-tax charges of $22.4 million, or $0.26 a share.
North America net revenues fell 4.9% to $528.5 million on a 5% Core decline and a 5% volume/mix drop that the company tied to weakened market demand. North America Adjusted EBITDA from continuing operations rose 17.1% to $40.7 million, which the company said was primarily due to improved productivity and lower SG&A, partially offset by unfavorable price/cost. Net income from continuing operations in the segment was $26.9 million.
Europe net revenues increased 7.9% to $289.3 million on 5% Core growth—3% volume/mix and 2% price realization—and a 3% foreign-exchange benefit. Europe Adjusted EBITDA from continuing operations decreased 22.6% to $13.2 million, which the company said was primarily due to higher salaries and benefits and unfavorable price/cost, partially offset by improved productivity. Net loss from continuing operations in Europe was $3.4 million.
The company raised the low end of its full-year 2026 Adjusted EBITDA guidance to $120 million from $100 million, leaving the top of the range at $150 million. It said the update reflects significant cost reductions, partially offset by continued volume pressure. Revenue guidance moved to $3.1 billion to $3.2 billion from $3.05 billion to $3.2 billion, implying a Core Revenues decline of approximately (2%) to (5%) versus 2025 and a foreign-exchange benefit of approximately $50 million. In May the company had seen Core down (3%) to (6%).
JELD-WEN expects 2026 operating cash flow of approximately $10 million. In the six months ended June 27, 2026, net cash used in operating activities was $100.2 million, compared with $48.9 million a year earlier. The company said the change was primarily due to lower earnings after excluding a $137.7 million non-cash goodwill impairment related to North America in the prior year and a $59.3 million increase in net cash used in working capital. Free Cash Flow used in the six months was $144.8 million. Cash and cash equivalents were $57.2 million at June 27, 2026.
