TTM Technologies to Buy Ophir Optics in $650 Million Cash Deal

The electronics manufacturer said the all-cash purchase of mission-critical optics for land, air, maritime and unmanned platforms is a step in its long-term growth strategy.

TTM Technologies, Inc. (TTMI) agreed to acquire the Ophir Optics business in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $650 million, a purchase the electronics manufacturer said would add mission-critical optical solutions for land, air, maritime and unmanned platforms as well as industrial applications.

The company said the deal is another important step toward enhancing its long-term growth strategy by expanding its portfolio with those optical products.

The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2027.

“[W]e are excited to announce our planned acquisition of the Ophir Optics business as another important step toward enhancing our long-term growth strategy by expanding our portfolio with mission-critical optical solutions for land, air, maritime, and unmanned platforms and our industrial portfolio,” said Edwin Roks, President and Chief Executive Officer of TTM.

TTM framed the Ophir Optics purchase as a portfolio expansion, pointing to the mix of defense platforms and industrial uses the acquired business covers.

TTM disclosed an approximately $650 million all-cash purchase price for the Ophir Optics business, subject to customary closing adjustments, with no exchange ratio or cash-per-share figure supplied in the announcement.

The company said the close is expected in the second quarter of 2027.

Roks’s statement tied the acquisition to TTM’s long-term growth strategy, and to the specific product lines Ophir Optics supplies for land, air, maritime and unmanned platforms plus industrial work.

TTM did not disclose revenue or segment contribution for Ophir Optics in the announcement, nor a premium to a prior trading price, because the target is not presented as a listed company in the release.

The electronics manufacturer said the purchase would add optical solutions to its product offering.

The second-quarter 2027 close is the only timing TTM gave for completion of the approximately $650 million all-cash deal.
