Kingstone Sets November 5 Date for Third-Quarter Results

The insurer will report third-quarter 2026 results after the close on November 5 and host a call at 8:30 a.m. ET on November 6.

Kingstone Companies, Inc. (KINS), a regional property and casualty insurance holding company, said it will issue financial results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2026, after the market closes on Thursday, November 5, 2026.

Management will host a conference call to discuss the company’s business operations and financial results at 8:30 a.m. ET on Friday, November 6, 2026. Participants are asked to dial in approximately 10 minutes before the call is scheduled to begin, using U.S. toll-free 1-877-407-2991 or international 1-201-389-0925. A live webcast will be available in the Investor Relations section of the company’s website at www.kingstonecompanies.com. A replay will be available shortly after the call and remain accessible for approximately 30 days.

The notice follows a second quarter the company described as its most profitable on record. For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, Kingstone reported net income of $15.5 million and diluted earnings of $1.05 a share, with an annualized return on equity of 50.8%. President and Chief Executive Officer Meryl Golden said net income was a record $15.5 million and that diluted earnings per share rose 35% to $1.05.

Net premiums earned were $60.5 million in that second quarter, up 31% from a year earlier. Direct premiums written were $72.5 million, up 19%. Golden said direct premiums written grew 18.7%, led by continued strength in New York personal lines, and that net premiums earned rose 31% as premiums from a reduced quota share continued to earn in. The GAAP net combined ratio was 70.2%.

The 39.6% net loss ratio included favorable prior-year reserve development and a negative catastrophe loss ratio, as favorable development on its first-quarter catastrophe estimate exceeded second-quarter catastrophe losses. The underwriting expense ratio improved to 30.6%, which Golden attributed to the operating leverage of a scalable platform. Net investment income increased 49% on a growing investment portfolio and higher yields. Diluted book value per share increased 35% year-over-year to $8.69.

Capital actions accompanied the results. Kingstone completed a catastrophe reinsurance placement that increased total coverage to $500 million, added wildfire protection, maintained low first-event retentions and reduced the risk-adjusted cost of core catastrophe excess of loss coverage by more than 15%. It also announced a share repurchase authorization during the quarter and subsequently increased its quarterly dividend by 20% to $0.06 a share, one year after reinstating it.

The company reaffirmed its growth, underwriting and profitability outlook for fiscal year 2026, originally issued on March 5, 2026 and affirmed on May 7, 2026. Golden said the company remained confident in its trajectory and committed to delivering long-term value to shareholders.

Kingstone’s principal operating subsidiaries write business through retail and wholesale agents and brokers. It delivers homeowners insurance through its Select product suite. It was the 11th largest writer of homeowners insurance in New York in 2025 and is diversifying its geographic footprint by writing in Connecticut on an admitted basis and California on a non-admitted basis. The July scheduling notice gave that New York ranking and identified California homeowners coverage as written on a non-admitted basis.
