Daily Journal Completes All-Cash Purchase of Revir Technologies
The closed deal adds Scout, an AI platform for managing and searching digital evidence, to Daily Journal’s courts and justice technology stack.
Daily Journal Corporation (DJCO) completed its all-cash acquisition of Revir Technologies, Inc. on October 13, 2026, adding Scout, a platform for managing, searching, and applying AI to large collections of digital assets and evidence, to the company’s Courts, Justice, and Government technology offerings.
The Los Angeles publishing and technology company expanded its courts-and-justice portfolio with a tool aimed at evidence-heavy digital collections rather than a new line of court-reporting or case-management software. Scout is the product Daily Journal is folding into the existing Journal Technologies franchise, which has carried most of the company’s growth.
“I’m delighted to welcome Marc and the Revir team to Daily Journal,” said Steven Myhill-Jones, Chairman and CEO of Daily Journal Corporation.
Journal Technologies had already been the growth engine. In fiscal 2025, the unit posted revenue of $69.9 million, up 32% from $53.1 million a year earlier, from consulting, public service fees, and license and maintenance. Consolidated revenue for the year was $87.7 million.
That pace continued into fiscal 2026. Journal Technologies revenue rose 32% year over year in the second quarter, 22% in the first half, and 19.5% in the third quarter, with total Journal Technologies revenue for the first nine months up 21%. Consolidated revenue was $27.0 million in the third quarter and $69.2 million for the first nine months.
Myhill-Jones had framed the courts and justice agency sector as a “blue ocean opportunity” in which Daily Journal could “create durable value over time,” and had pointed to record revenue and momentum at Journal Technologies as the company kept investing in modernization and implementation capacity.
The Revir close sits on that same thread: an AI evidence-management product attached to a courts-and-justice franchise that is still compounding, rather than a standalone bolt-on. Scout is now part of the Courts, Justice, and Government stack Daily Journal is selling to courts, justice agencies, and government customers.
