XMax to Buy Hexa Creation in Unpriced AI Power Deal

The company said the purchase puts it into high-voltage power semiconductors as it extends an AI strategy already running through software, platforms and GPU services.

XMax Inc. (XMAX) agreed to acquire Hexa Creation Inc. in a transaction with no disclosed value, structure or closing date, as it moves into high-voltage power semiconductors to serve the power demands of AI computing and other high-voltage applications.

The deal is intended to extend XMax’s AI strategy into the power infrastructure that supports AI computing, rather than to add another software or services line. Hexa Creation is the vehicle for that entry.

Chief Executive Officer Andy Lu framed the purchase as a first step into a semiconductor field that XMax had not previously occupied. “This acquisition marks XMax’s entry into high-voltage power semiconductors, a field closely tied to the growing power demands of AI infrastructure. The acquisition of Hexa Creation diversifies our business opportunities and complements XMax’s growing AI business as XMax builds out AI software, platform-based and GPU services through our wholly owned subsidiaries XMax AI Inc. and Elonx AI Holdings PTE. LTD.,” Lu said.

The rationale ties the new power-semiconductor business to subsidiaries that already carry XMax’s AI software, platform and GPU work. Lu described Hexa Creation as complementary to that existing stack, not as a standalone bolt-on.

The release did not state a purchase price, whether the consideration is cash, stock or a mix, an exchange ratio, a premium, or an expected close. It also did not describe Hexa Creation’s products, revenue, customers or manufacturing footprint beyond the high-voltage power-semiconductor label.

Sector peers have been buying power-conversion and voltage-regulator assets on the same AI-infrastructure thesis. Flex (FLEX) agreed in September 2026 to buy EPC Power for $4.4 billion, citing power conversion for AI data centers and a planned 800V architecture. Navitas Semiconductor (NVTS) closed its purchase of Claros, Inc. on October 6, 2026, after announcing a deal valued at up to about $232.8 million, to add integrated voltage regulators for grid-to-xPU delivery. Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) agreed in May 2026 to buy Empower Semiconductor in an all-cash deal for $1.5 billion to expand high-density power for AI compute. onsemi (ON) agreed in September 2025 to acquire Vcore power technology from Aura Semiconductor to cover more of the AI data-center power tree.

Those transactions were priced and, in several cases, already closed. XMax’s announcement of Hexa Creation remains a strategic entry into high-voltage power semiconductors, with the deal’s financial terms and timetable still undisclosed.
