Micro-cap earnings: IDT grows as Integra cuts its outlook
IDT posted higher sales and operating income, while flooding lowered Integra’s revenue forecast. Gray raised its political advertising guidance.
IDT’s fiscal fourth-quarter operating income rose 52%, while a goodwill impairment pushed Concentrix into a GAAP net loss despite higher non-GAAP operating income. The week of September 28–October 2 also brought expense reductions at ReposiTrak, stronger political advertising expectations at Gray Media and a flood-related outlook cut at Integra LifeSciences.
### Reported profits and their limits
IDT reported revenue of $339.0 million for the fourth quarter ended July 31, 2026, up 7% from a year earlier. Gross profit increased 18% to $134.8 million, and operating income reached $33.2 million. NRS was a standout within the business: revenue rose 31% to $45.0 million and operating income increased 105% to $12.0 million. The exception was Traditional Communications’ full-year performance. For the year ended July 31, its revenue increased 1%, but gross profit declined 4% and operating income fell 5%, even as consolidated full-year operating income rose 21% to $121.2 million.
ReposiTrak’s profit improvement came alongside lower spending. For its fourth quarter ended June 30, 2026, operating expenses fell 11% year over year to $3.7 million, while operating income increased 19% to $1.9 million and GAAP net income rose 16% to $2.1 million. Quarterly revenue, however, declined 3% to $5.6 million. The full year showed a different sales trajectory: revenue increased 3% to $23.3 million, operating expenses declined 6%, and operating income increased 26%. Fiscal-year cash from operations totaled $8.2 million.
Concentrix’s third quarter ended August 31, 2026, showed a sharp divide between GAAP and non-GAAP results. Revenue declined 1.2% year over year to $2,453.7 million, while non-GAAP operating income increased 1.3% to $309.0 million and its corresponding margin rose to 12.6% from 12.3%. A $1,050.0 million noncash goodwill impairment produced a GAAP operating loss of $910.3 million and net loss of $988.1 million. The company attributed the impairment primarily to its stock’s trading range and market capitalization. Quarterly operating cash flow was $268.2 million.
### Advertising lifts one forecast; flooding cuts another
Gray Media raised its political advertising revenue guidance for the quarter ending September 30, 2026, to $188 million–$195 million, from $165 million–$185 million. It also lifted the bottom of its total revenue range to $950 million from $935 million, retaining the $965 million upper bound. The improvement did not extend to core advertising: Gray now expects revenue to decline 1% to remain flat year over year, compared with its previous flat forecast. These remain estimates; Gray was still finalizing quarterly results when it issued the update.
Integra LifeSciences lowered its full-year 2026 reported revenue outlook to $1.634 billion–$1.654 billion from $1.654 billion–$1.695 billion after July flooding disrupted its Cincinnati facility. The company estimated a $7 million third-quarter revenue impact and expects another $15 million–$20 million impact in the fourth quarter. Preliminary third-quarter revenue is approximately $410 million–$412 million, subject to completion of closing procedures. Despite the disruption, Integra still expects operating cash flow above $85 million for the third quarter and approximately $190 million–$200 million for the year. It expects full manufacturing operations at Cincinnati to resume during the second quarter of 2027.
