Asahi Intecc annual net profit rose 151.8%

Asahi Intecc expects medical-component sales to grow as demand for cardiovascular catheter components continues to expand.

Asahi Intecc Co., Ltd. (TSE-7747) reported profit attributable to owners of the parent of 32,075 million yen for the year ended June 30, 2026, up 151.8% from a year earlier, as ordinary profit increased and impairment losses fell substantially.

Asahi Intecc's medical business recorded sales of 126,798 million yen, an increase of 17.6% from the previous fiscal year.

Profit at Asahi Intecc's medical business reached 46,190 million yen, rising 38.1% from the previous fiscal year.

Domestic sales in Asahi Intecc's medical business increased because of strong sales of purchased peripheral vascular products within its non-cardiovascular business.

Overseas sales in Asahi Intecc's medical business increased across both cardiovascular and non-cardiovascular products, with exchange-rate movements also contributing to the growth.

Asahi Intecc's cardiovascular sales increased in every region, with PCI guidewires and penetration catheters accounting for the main areas of growth.

Asahi Intecc's non-cardiovascular sales increased as abdominal and peripheral vascular products grew in every region and cerebrovascular products also recorded growth across overseas markets as a whole.

Asahi Intecc's device business posted sales of 18,620 million yen, an increase of 52.1% compared with the previous fiscal year.

Profit at Asahi Intecc's device business rose 83.5% to 8,485 million yen, with the increase attributable to higher sales to external customers.

Asahi Intecc's medical-component sales increased through more business supplying cardiovascular diagnostic catheter components to American companies and cardiovascular ultrasound catheter components to Asia, as well as the consolidation of Nitta Mold.
