TransDigm Completes $1.066 Billion Cash Purchase of Prince & Izant

The aerospace components maker closed a July agreement to buy the Cleveland-based brazing-alloy producer from Industrial Growth Partners.

TransDigm Group Incorporated (TDG) completed its acquisition of Prince & Izant, a global designer and manufacturer of highly engineered brazing alloys and specialty metal components used across advanced performance and high cost-of-failure applications, primarily supporting aerospace and defense, aeroderivative turbine, and transportation end markets.

The all-cash purchase was valued at approximately $1.066 billion, including certain tax benefits. TransDigm had entered into the definitive agreement on July 27, 2026, to buy the Cleveland, Ohio-based company from Industrial Growth Partners.

Prince & Izant’s products are highly proprietary and rely on advanced metallurgy, precise chemistry requirements, and deep formulation expertise that are critical to supporting evolving performance requirements in the markets it serves. Within aerospace and defense, select applications include aircraft engine fuel nozzles and rocket engines. The company also serves the medical and general industrial end markets to a lesser degree.

The majority of Prince & Izant’s revenue comes from the aftermarket and supports a large installed base globally. Its products span nearly 10,000 active SKUs, and the majority of revenue is derived from specialty metals including gold, silver, and platinum alloys. Manufacturing locations include Cleveland; Tinley Park, Illinois; Franksville, Wisconsin; and Bay Shore, New York. The company employs approximately 220 people.

Prince & Izant is expected to generate approximately $360 million in revenue for the calendar year ending December 31, 2026. Chief Executive Officer Mike Lisman said the company “offers highly engineered, custom, proprietary products and provides excellent service to its customers—attributes that align well with TransDigm’s acquisition criteria.”

The close followed a run of aerospace aftermarket purchases. In January 2026, TransDigm agreed to buy Jet Parts Engineering and Victor Sierra Aviation Holdings from Vance Street Capital for approximately $2.2 billion in cash. In December 2025, it agreed to acquire Stellant Systems, Inc. from Arlington Capital Partners for approximately $960 million in cash. In October 2025, it completed the purchase of Simmonds Precision Products from RTX Corporation for approximately $765 million in cash.

TransDigm, through its wholly owned subsidiaries, is a leading global designer, producer, and supplier of highly engineered aircraft components for use on nearly all commercial and military aircraft in service today.
