Vizsla Silver Exploration Expenses Rise in First Quarter

Vizsla Silver Corp. (VZLA), a precious metals exploration and acquisition company, reported a rise in exploration and evaluation expenses to $1.338 million for the three months ended July 31, 2026. This represents an increase from the $17,000 the company spent on similar activities during the same period in 2025.
General and administrative expenses also increased during the quarter, totaling $12.073 million compared to $7.393 million in the prior-year period. The company said these costs included $5.713 million in share-based compensation and $3.296 million in professional fees. Additionally, the company recorded $1.841 million in project holding costs, a line item that was not present in the 2025 quarterly results.
Financial assets shifted slightly as the company held $406.495 million in cash and cash equivalents at July 31, 2026, down from $427.310 million at April 30, 2026. The company also held $4.440 million in short-term investments as of the July 31 date.
On the liabilities side, the company reported $240.366 million in convertible notes as of July 31, 2026, compared to $237.355 million at the end of April. Derivative liabilities decreased to $41.829 million from $49.482 million over the same period.
Total assets stood at $716.781 million at July 31, 2026, compared to $731.499 million at April 30, 2026. Total shareholders' equity was $421.495 million at the end of the quarter, down from $431.361 million at the end of the previous fiscal year.
