ARRAY Technologies to Buy Affordable Wire Management in $203 Million Deal

The acquisition expands ARRAY's balance-of-system portfolio into cable management and creates new entry points into the battery energy storage and datacenter markets.

ARRAY Technologies (ARRY), a global provider of solar tracking and foundation solutions, entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Affordable Wire Management (AWM), a provider of cable management and safety products. The total consideration for the deal is approximately $203 million, consisting of a $153 million base purchase price and up to $50 million in deferred consideration and performance earnouts.

ARRAY intends to fund the purchase price at closing using cash on hand. The transaction represents a multiple of approximately 8.8x AWM's trailing 12-month EBITDA. The company expects the acquisition to be accretive to its Adjusted EPS by a high single-digit percentage in the first year, before synergies.

The acquisition is part of a broader "balance-of-system" strategy to increase ARRAY's share of wallet per project by offering integrated infrastructure layers. This follows the company's August 2025 acquisition of APA Solar, which added engineered foundation systems to its portfolio. By combining trackers, foundations, and now wire management, ARRAY aims to reduce installation costs and improve system reliability for utility-scale customers.

AWM brings a portfolio of proprietary designs for organizing and protecting electrical wiring, which can increase ampacity by more than 20% compared with alternative solutions. With nearly $60 million in trailing twelve-month revenue, AWM operates a capital-light model, designing products in-house while outsourcing manufacturing to third parties.

Beyond solar, the deal provides ARRAY with a platform to enter the battery energy storage systems (BESS) and data center infrastructure markets. AWM has developed dedicated products, such as the StrataPack, specifically for these applications to handle variable lengths and offsets between BESS units and transformers.

“By bringing together complementary technologies that are engineered to work together, we believe we can deliver greater value to our customers, increase our project share and create additional opportunities for profitable growth,” said Kevin Hostetler, Chief Executive Officer of ARRAY Technologies. “APA is tangible evidence of that strategy in action, and our pending acquisition of AWM represents another important step in expanding our platform. We see significant opportunity to continue building on this model over time”.

The deal is expected to close in the third quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
