Glass House Brands Reaches Record Biomass Production in Second Quarter

The cannabis company produced 245,746 equivalent dry pounds of biomass during the second quarter of 2026.

Glass House Brands Inc. (GLAS), a cannabis company, reported second quarter 2026 revenue of $47.0 million, compared to $28.6 million in the first quarter of 2026 and $47.6 million in the second quarter of 2025. The company said the results reflect continuing operations and exclude amounts classified as discontinued operations following the June 12, 2026, deconsolidation of Glass House Retail, LLC.

Biomass production reached a record 245,746 equivalent dry pounds during the quarter, an increase from 151,531 pounds in the first quarter of 2026 and 230,748 pounds in the second quarter of 2025,. The wholesale biomass segment generated $41.7 million in revenue, which accounted for 89% of total revenue. The company reported a cost of production of $122 per pound, a decrease from $175 per pound in the first quarter of 2026, though this figure was higher than the $91 per pound reported in the second quarter of 2025.

Profitability metrics showed sequential improvement but remained below prior-year levels. Adjusted EBITDA was positive $5.7 million, compared to negative $4.2 million in the first quarter of 2026 and positive $18.1 million in the second quarter of 2025. Gross profit margin was 34%, up from 14% in the first quarter of 2026, but down from 55% in the second quarter of 2025. The company attributed the margin underperformance to a higher cost of production and a higher proportion of trim within the production mix.

Operating cash flow was positive $0.2 million, compared to negative $11.8 million in the first quarter of 2026 and positive $17.7 million in the second quarter of 2025. Wholesale CPG segment revenues were $5.3 million, representing a 14% sequential increase.

During the period, the company completed its uplisting to the New York Stock Exchange and announced a California retail joint venture with Vireo Growth,. Glass House Brands also filed for DEA registration of certain medical operations and completed its first international hemp sale.

Glass House Brands reaffirms its full year 2026 wholesale cannabis biomass production forecast of approximately 1 million pounds.
