Perspective Targets Year-End Phase 3 Start for VMT-α-NET
Cash, cash equivalents, and short-term investments were about $237 million as of June 30, 2026, a level the company said should fund planned clinical milestones into late 2027.
Perspective Therapeutics (CATX), a radiopharmaceutical development company, said it is preparing a Phase 3 study of bamzireotide navoxetan (VMT-α-NET) in SSTR2-positive neuroendocrine tumors and is targeting clinical site activation around year-end 2026, subject to regulatory feedback and protocol finalization.
The Seattle-based company is evaluating a proposed cumulative 20 mCi (740 MBq) dose administered in up to four treatments every eight weeks. Additional dose cohorts could provide optionality to further define the therapeutic window. Regulatory engagement is ongoing.
As of July 31, 76 NETs patients across four cohorts and one meningioma patient had been treated. ASCO 2026 interim data were described as consistent with prior findings and as showing continued deepening of response. Updated NETs data are scheduled for an oral presentation at ESMO on October 23. By late 2026, all 46 Cohort 2 patients will have had the opportunity for at least 60 weeks of follow-up, which is expected to inform Phase 3 study design.
The other clinical programs continued to advance. Lapemelanotide zapixetar (VMT01) in MC1R-positive melanoma had 27 patients enrolled as of July 31, including seven on a cumulative 9 mCi (333 MBq) monotherapy regimen and six on that dose in combination with nivolumab. ASCO 2026 data showed two partial responses among seven patients treated with 3.0 mCi monotherapy. Six nivolumab combination patients are expected to reach at least 24 weeks of follow-up by late 2026.
PSV359 in FAP-α-positive solid tumors had 17 patients treated across three dose cohorts as of July 31. Cohort 3 opened and closed during the second quarter of 2026. The next clinical update is planned in 2027. Preclinical data and first-in-human biodistribution observations support continued pre-IND development of PSV594 in CCK2R-positive solid tumors.
Research and development expenses were $21.5 million for the three months ended June 30, 2026, compared with $16.6 million a year earlier. General and administrative expenses were $7.8 million. Grant revenue was $81 thousand. Operating loss was $29.3 million. Net loss was $26.8 million, or $0.22 a share, compared with a net loss of $21.5 million, or $0.29 a share, for the same period in 2025. Weighted-average basic and diluted shares used in computing net loss were 120.7 million.
Cash, cash equivalents, and short-term investments were approximately $237 million as of June 30, 2026, versus approximately $145 million as of December 31, 2025. Cash and cash equivalents were $48.5 million and short-term investments were $188.4 million. The balance is expected to be sufficient to fund current planned clinical milestones and operational investments into late 2027. Additional paid-in capital was $711.8 million, and common shares issued rose to 114.1 million from 74.3 million. Accumulated deficit was $387.8 million.
Property and equipment, net, was $107.8 million as of June 30, 2026. The Chicago metro manufacturing site is expected to complete construction in early 2027, followed by the Los Angeles metro site in the second half of 2027, expanding the network to four regional sites by the end of 2027. Perspective Therapeutics believes it has sufficient capacity and isotope access to support ongoing studies and the planned VMT-α-NET Phase 3 study.
In July 2026, Paul Lyne, Ph.D., was appointed Chief Science Officer. Chief Executive Officer Thijs Spoor said the team is preparing for the first Phase 3 study and advancing the Chicago manufacturing facility toward completion.
