Shinhan Financial Group Raises Treasury Stock Acquisitions to KRW 1.25 Trillion

The South Korean financial holding company increased treasury stock acquisitions to KRW 1,250,001 million in FY 2025 [12].

Shinhan Financial Group (SHG), the South Korean financial holding company, increased treasury stock acquisitions to KRW 1,250,001 million in FY 2025, up from KRW 700,000 million in FY 2024.

Net interest income rose to KRW 11,694,456 million from KRW 11,402,302 million in the prior year. This growth followed an expansion in the balance sheet, as loans at amortized cost grew to KRW 464,773,880 million from KRW 449,295,238 million.

Funding grew alongside the loan book. Deposits increased to KRW 447,648,971 million from KRW 422,781,045 million.

Non-interest revenue provided additional support to the top line. Net fees and commission income increased to KRW 2,921,211 million from KRW 2,714,874 million.

Credit costs remained stable. The provision for credit loss allowance decreased slightly to KRW 2,002,965 million from KRW 2,013,274 million.

Operating costs rose during the period. General and administrative expenses increased to KRW 6,402,500 million from KRW 6,116,240 million.
