Karman Holdings to Buy Walker Precision Engineering in $94 Million Deal

Karman Space & Defense (KRMN) agreed to acquire Walker Precision Engineering for approximately $94 million. The company did not disclose the specific payment structure of the transaction.
The acquisition is aimed at expanding its presence into the European defense market.
The move follows a broader trend of aerospace and defense firms seeking to localize production and deepen their exposure to European security requirements. Howmet Aerospace (HWM) recently acquired Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing for approximately $1.8 billion to strengthen its portfolio of mission-critical aerospace fastening solutions. Similarly, Miller Industries (MLR) recently completed the acquisition of Italy-based Omars to expand its European footprint.
Other industry participants have pursued regional growth through different structures. Ondas Inc. (ONDS) recently formed a joint venture with Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG to establish autonomous drone defense systems in Germany. Redwire (RDW) has also noted that European defense budgets are slated to ramp up, positioning the company to leverage its existing European facilities.
