SIGA Completes 19C Stockpile Deliveries After Quiet Quarters

The smallpox-drug maker booked $41.0 million of revenue and $12.5 million of net income in the three months ended June 30, 2026, after two consecutive quarters of losses.

SIGA Technologies (SIGA), a commercial-stage pharmaceutical company focused on smallpox countermeasures, delivered about $37 million of TPOXX in the second quarter and completed the last procurement order under its 19C contract with the U.S. Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority.

Product sales were $37.9 million in the three months ended June 30, 2026, after $3.5 million in the immediately preceding quarter and $2.2 million in the quarter before that. Total revenues were $41.0 million. Research and development revenues of $3.1 million lifted the top line above product sales.

Chief Executive Officer Diem Nguyen said the company delivered $24 million of IV TPOXX to the U.S. Strategic National Stockpile and $13 million of oral TPOXX to two international customers. The IV shipments closed out the remaining 19C procurement order.

Operating income swung to a $13.9 million profit from a $5.3 million operating loss in the first quarter and a $9.5 million operating loss in the fourth quarter of 2025. Net income was $12.5 million, or $0.17 a share, versus a $3.5 million net loss in the prior quarter.

Cost of sales and supportive services was $17.6 million. Selling, general and administrative expense was $5.1 million. Research and development expense was $4.4 million.

Differences in operating income margin between periods reflect different product mixes.

In March, SIGA entered an exclusive license agreement with Hikma MENA FZE, granting Hikma rights to register and commercialize oral TPOXX in the Middle East and North Africa, with SIGA as exclusive supplier.

Cash and cash equivalents were $117.6 million at June 30, 2026, down from $155.0 million at year-end 2025. Inventory was $41.1 million. Deferred IV TPOXX revenue was zero.

A special cash dividend of $0.60 a share was declared March 26, 2026 and paid April 23, 2026.

Nguyen said product deliveries across the U.S., Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region, spanning multiple formulations, continued the company’s long-term plan of selling TPOXX across a diverse range of regions and customers.

The company will host a conference call and webcast to provide a business update on August 6, 2026.
