Ethos Technologies Raises Full-Year Revenue Guidance on Rapid Growth

The company raised its full-year total revenue projection to a range between $727 million and $731 million.

Ethos Technologies (LIFE), the life insurance provider, reported second-quarter revenue of $189.6 million.

The results marked a period of accelerating growth for the company, as total revenue rose 113% year-over-year. This pace exceeded the 104% growth recorded in the first quarter.

Growth was driven by a surge in new policy activations. Families Protected grew 133% year-over-year to 107,847, an acceleration from the 84% growth seen in the prior quarter. However, average revenue per unit declined 8% year-over-year to $1,758, reversing an 11% increase reported in the first quarter.

Performance diverged across distribution channels. Direct Channel Revenue grew 131% year-over-year to $116.5 million, a slight deceleration from 136% growth in the first quarter. Third-Party Channel Revenue grew 90% year-over-year to $73.1 million, accelerating from 42% growth in the prior quarter.

Profitability metrics improved during the period. Adjusted EBITDA margin expanded to 19%, up from 17% in the first quarter. Contribution profit margin also increased to 33% from 30% in the previous quarter.

Ethos raised its full-year 2026 total revenue guidance to between $727 million and $731 million, up from a previous range of $561 million to $565 million. Full-year Adjusted EBITDA guidance was also increased to between $119 million and $123 million from a prior range of $103 million to $107 million.

For the third quarter of 2026, the company projected total revenue between $160 million and $164 million.

The Board of Directors authorized a new share repurchase program of up to $100 million of Class A common stock.
