Evolution Metals Secures Non-China Feedstock Chain

Evolution Metals & Technologies (EMAT), the rare earth producer, operationalized its ex-China feedstock chain with the first delivery of five metric tons of NdPr metals from SRE Vietnam on July 22.
The milestone followed the execution of a supply contract on July 7. The move comes as the company seeks to insulate its production from Chinese supply dependencies amid a tightening U.S. regulatory environment.
On July 20, a White House Executive Order ended routine waivers and mandated formal mitigation plans for defense supply chain exceptions. The order accelerates the impact of the January 1, 2027 DFARS 252.225-7052 deadline.
To support its downstream goals, the company procured thirteen ULVAC sintered magnet production machines. Evolution Metals expects its production capacity for rare earth magnets to reach approximately 10,000 metric tons per annum by November 2026.
Financial liquidity was bolstered by the establishment of a $100 million convertible debenture facility with Yorkville Advisors Global on May 7.
The company also resolved a listing issue with the Nasdaq. Evolution Metals regained compliance with Listing Rule 5250(c)(1) on May 26. The deficiency had been caused by the delayed filing of its first-quarter Form 10-Q, which the company eventually filed on May 22.
