Innovative Solutions Acquires Aydin, Expands Military Reach
The $24.5 million cash deal added a business expected to generate about $16 million in 2026 revenue.
Innovative Solutions & Support (ISSC), an aerospace and defense equipment maker, acquired Aydin Displays and expanded its military business into naval and ground applications.
The transaction broadened the company’s defense exposure beyond its existing markets, adding rugged-display products used across a range of military systems.
Innovative Solutions paid $24.5 million in cash for Aydin. The company funded the purchase with cash on hand and borrowings under its existing credit facility.
Aydin is expected to generate approximately $16 million of revenue in calendar 2026, giving the company another source of acquisition-driven sales growth.
The acquired products support more than 20 military platforms across over 80 countries, extending Innovative Solutions’ reach across applications and international markets.
The deal followed three previously announced acquisitions that are projected collectively to contribute $10 million in annual revenue at an approximately 50% blended gross margin.
Aydin added greater scale to that acquisition strategy while widening the company’s military product mix and end-market exposure.
